cabinet door makeover

26 May 2009

Hello! I had a fabulous little vacation~I wanted to share something that my sister, Kristin did that I loved:
she took an old cabinet door when they replaced their bathroom vanity and painted it, then added some vinyl lettering:

Isn't it a great idea? And isn't she the cutest? :) I wish you could all meet her in person~I have the best sisters!

Thanks, Krishin! I'm adding it to my yard sale wish list.
Happy Tuesday~

P.S. ! ETA: Okay, I talked to Kristin and she said she got her vinyl lettering from http://www.sayanythingexpressions.com She said it was around $5 for everything and around $1 for shipping, so not too shabby, and also they were very quick. I think I'll be adding this to my under $10, under an hour projects. (not including spray paint drying time, of course) Hope this helps~

  4. If you are ever headed to First Monday Trade Days in Canton, TX there is a booth that sells cabinet doors like this brand new for $1.

Great idea, now I know what to do with some of those doors I bought.

  5. I have a huge cabinet door painted as a chalkboard. The inside is chalkboard paint and the outside part is painted. Looks like a big frame. I use it for my menu in my kitchen. Everyone here is painting them as chalkboards, that's cute what your sister did. I've never seen that.

  12. I started reading your blog because my aunt JoAnn was always reading it and then she won one of your give-aways. Well, I just realized that I know your sister, Kristin. She worked with me at Springville Jr. High last year until she had her baby. You'll have to tell her hi from me.

  15. Ooo la la - I had that same idea with an large old frame a friend made for me. Here in AZ there is a local cabinet who sells his left over cabinet faces for very cheap! I'm sure there is one in your area too!
