$10 yard sale console: after

25 November 2009

Here is the before:
And now, the after!

It replaces this~it was never quite right for the space:

The most time consuming part was removing all of the heavy old electronic equipment. My son was in heaven playing tooltime with all of the wires and screws. I'm thinking of just getting him an old radio or something to just have fun taking apart for Christmas. :) The rest was sanding, filling in the scrapes and holes, and painting with leftover primer and paint from other projects, (probably about 4 hours, split up over a week).

Last of the autumn decor!

One of my favorite parts of this piece are the handles!

We are using the bottom cabinets for blankets and a bucket of toys and have to figure out how to make the top part functional. And do you see the legs on this? Love them too!
I hope your Thanksgiving is a wonderful time~I'm so thankful for all of you!

I'm joining Kimba's DIY day very late :)

Have a great day~
