secret paint formula + poll

15 April 2010

Here is the secret formula for the paint in the entryway at Lowes. The nice guy there color matched it for me and then printed off the formula in Valspar paint. This may be too dark if your room does not have a lot of light, but you can always add white to lighten it up. I love it and would describe it as a blue-green-gray.april 2010 038

Wait! There’s one more thing!  Could you just take a look at this bag and give me your first impression in the poll below? I don’t want to skew your vote, so I’ll tell you the story later…thank you!!april 2010 185april 2010 183

  2. Love the paint color! Regarding the purse ... I love the pockets on the outside & I don't think it looks like an old lady nurse ...but then again I am 50 years old!!!LOL! The only thing I would have a difficult time with is the single handle ... I think it's easier to get into the purse with two...but that's just me. I think it looks fabulous like Annie.

  3. hearting the paint. but not the purse. One flap and silver latch = GOOD. 2 more = purse is trying to hard. It reminds me of someone's back pockets.

  6. I have a thing about white purses. Not a good "thing". I feel like they are what my mom made me carry at Easter time. Just a weird flashback kind of thing to permed hair and ugly white flats... That's just my opinion. For spring I like fun prints and bright colored bags.

  8. White handbags are in style now, but they get dirty looking very quickly. If you didn't pay a lot for it then I would say go for it. Tie a colorful scarf on one of the handles to be tres chic.

  11. Purse - reminds me of something from the 60's or was it the '70's. Not old lady (on someone young) more retro.

  12. I love the paint! Reminds me of my dining room color which is Palladium Blue be BM. The purse...I put other. Too many latches for me. I would rather a double strap. But I can't call it an old lady purse!

  13. I am the world's pickiest purse person...which means I usually am carrying one that I don't love. I like that purse! It's plain and simple, and although I'm not a huge fan of leather...there is something in the simplicity that doesn't scream "leather". If that even makes sense? Which I doubt. I think it's cool and hip without being too cool and hip and look at me, how cool and hip I am.
    I should just stop...
I warned you...my pickiness on purses paralyzes me.
