Here is how it looked when they started work on it: My awesome dad putting up the chair rail for the board and batten:
How it usually looks. My closet ain’t so Berenstein-Bearish anymore, is it?
I have just been gathering chairs at yard sales and painting them to go with my $20 yard sale table. I left the laminate top on the table because it cleans up so nicely (thank you to my wonderful readers for the suggestion!)…I cannot tell you how much this table gets used for legos, playing school, coloring, building forts, crafts, etc. If you have to choose one piece of furniture in your playroom, I would go with a table.
You remember big bird:
#7 art and our states quarters map. We almost have them all!
And we did the board and batten! We did it ourselves to save some $$ It was really actually simple and inexpensive…I’ll show you what we did coming soon. Do you see that big, blank wall? We have plans for it and it could involve you…more later. :)
More about the alphabet letters here…
The paint color on the top is Kilim Beige from Sherwin Williams, the white is Behr Ultra Pure White from the Home Depot.
It leads into the family/tv room:

Thanks for coming in…of course there is almost zero natural light in this room, but we love it and have worn it in well. I love banishing them all down to the basement when I’m making dinner.
