Under $10 Under 1 Hour Party!

22 September 2010

Hello, and welcome! Here is my project for today:
Begin with a charger from Target’s Dollar Spot:september 2010 030 1
Give it a coat of white spray paint, then take a small piece of sandpaper and let the gold come through on the edges of the leaf. It kind of reminded me of rubbing leaves with crayons…september 2010 031 1

  7. I was at Target two days ago and I picked one of those up thinking, "this is tacky." lol! I absolutely love what you did with it - it looks so much classier and more expensive now!

  8. Melissa. You.

I was at Target yesterday. Those chargers caught my eye--I'm looking for inexpensive chargers for a project--and then when I saw the leaves I thought, "Nah." YOU saw the leaves thought "This could be cool!" I love the subtlety of the leaves in your finished product! You are so smart.

I've wanted and wanted to do a paint-and-glaze finish on a piece of furniture. I finally decided that it just couldn't be THAT hard, and I tried it on a little table for my bathroom. I was surprised how easy and quick it was--not to mention cheap! Now I'm trying to decide what will be my next project! :)

Looking forward to visiting around. Thank you very much for asking party participants to look at other people's projects. I agree--it's not a party unless we mingle. :)

    Love you!
