Heather sent us Vermont! Her blog, Decor 4 Poor, has some great ideas:
I love what she did with an old record cabinet:

She took mailbox letters and turned them into fantastic subway art (I have some of these letters I was going to try this with…love it!!)

She is a Black Friday DIE HARD, she even decorated her mantle around it :)

Stephanie rocks! She sent us 2 plates: Delaware and Maryland! I love the name of her blog: Good Bones Home. They just purchased their first home that has tons of potential and she is sharing their journey with that. We can’t wait to see what you do with it, Stephanie!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a license plate from Australia, but sweet Nicola sent us the tag and 2 children’s books for my kids. She said, “It seemed a bit of a waste to send just this all the way across the seas so I popped a little something in for your little ones…hope they like them. It absolutely made our week. We LOVE them so much, Nicola! The kindness out there never ceases to amaze.

  1. I love license plates! I bought an old Texas license plate - turned key chain holder. I've been trying to find a way to create my own. Have you done anything like that before?

  2. Wombat Stew!! We lived in New Zealand for a year when I was younger and this was one of my favorite books! Seeing that brought back a flood of memories.

  3. I initially misread the Maryland license slogan as:

    "TREASURE THE CHEAPSKATE"

instead of "Treasure the Chesapeake." LOL

  4. I am SO happy you got a Colorado plate! I had e-mailed you when you first started collecting them, and I thought my husband had an extra one I could send you... but he didn't. :(

  6. Love the Aussie books!
Our friend and former nanny lives there, and she sent our boys those books--they are well-loved, and favorites!!!
    Enjoy them!

  7. Seems so funny seeing my old number plate up there! Our Australian ones seem a bit plain compared the varied ones from the USA.

Glad to hear that your kids love the books - they have long been favourites in our home!

  9. E-mailed a former mission comp last week who just moved from New Mexico to Wyoming. She said that she would get an email off to you and send you a New Mexico plate as soon as she registered her vehicles in Wyoming. I hope she does and that we will see that State crossed off your list. Unfortunately I live in a state that you already have, otherwise I would have helped out long ago. Good luck in your quest!
