I almost forgot…

06 December 2010

a tip for your Christmas books: when you get new books, write the year on the inside cover, and have your kids write their names and ages. It will give your heart a little stab when you open them up year after year and see how they’re growing, but you will cherish it and they love to see how they “used to” write.

  4. Another great idea. Thank you. In today's mail I received two of the books I ordered after reading your post about wrapping the Christmas books. I wrapped three tonight and put in a basket. I'm still waiting for someone to notice and when they do, we'll open one and read it. I'm headed to the library to get more. Just a couple purchases each year with supplements from the library should carry me for a while. Again, thanks for sharing such a wonderful idea to start a holiday tradition.
