wall o’ mirrors

16 March 2011

march 2011 065 1 Here is a wall of mirrors in my daughter’s bedroom we’ve been working on. She has high ceilings, so we needed something with a big impact, lots of color, and little money.

First up, the sunburst mirror! I’ve been wanting to do one forever…march 2011 022 1
Janell @ Isabella & Max Rooms got me hooked and gave a fabulous tutorial, and then to make things even better, Stephanie Lynn @ Under the Table and Dreaming gave a printable template to use on her site. Thanks to both of of these fabulous ladies! The mirrors were from Target clearance and we used a $1 package of bamboo skewers from Walmart.

I was looking up bracelets on Oriental Trading, was thinking of something I could use, but I went to my crafty goodness box,

and pulled out these from this project.February 2011 014 1
I had a little buddy that was home from school (not feeling well) and he helped me pull the circles off.February 2011 011 1
We hot glued the circles around the mirrorFebruary 2011 019 1
and out they went to the spray paint shop (aka garage) for a coat of Krylon’s Ivy Leaf (sunburst mirror is in Krylon Bahama Sea)

The round circle mirror was a 2.97 Goodwill find that we sprayed in Krylon Watermelon.
