a few deals

18 October 2011

*one of my readers {thank you, Kayla Rath!} gave me heads up that Southwest and AirTran are having their $35 flight sales!

* I have received lots of questions about photoshop elements~ Amazon has Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 on sale for $79.50  and then there is a $20 rebate on the same page, making it $59.50. Best price I’ve seen~please let us know in the comments if you know of a better deal. There are tutorials and actions all over the internet for this photo software. I have PSE 4.0~I love it, but it may be time for an upgrade…

*Also at Amazon…the magazine All You (6-month subscription) is on sale for one week: $6 for a 6 month subscription. Many get this magazine just for the coupons that come inside every month~they will easily pay for this subscription. I used to get through one of the coupon websites, but this is a fantastic deal.

* It’s over. Jos A Bank has their Buy 1, Get 2 Free! sale going on right now~this is our favorite sale for this store. My husband’s father introduced him to these shirts: if you hate ironing, the traveler’s collection shirts are the BEST. With this sale, they end up being about $30 a dress shirt, but they are worth every penny. His still look like brand new a year and a half later. Wall Street Journal also named them the best overall wrinkle resistant dress shirt.

Have fun~signature

  1. Do you know how often the traveler dress shirt sale comes around?

Yes, overnight is best. I put it in our room that has the de-humidifier to speed up the process, or you can use a hair dryer!

  3. I love your blog and read it often.  My kids and I made the ghosts this afternoon.  Question:  how long do they take to dry?  They want instant gratification, of course, but I told them it might be overnight before we can "play" with them.

  9. Do you have any idea how often Southwest offers these deals?  We live in the boonies, so $35 isn't an option for us, but $65 is still a great deal!  I'd like to plan ahead for a trip in the future.  And...yes, you should do ebates!  You shop online after clicking first through their site (no charge to you to sign up) and they send you a check for a percentage of your purchases every 3 months or so!  I don't buy alot but I've already received two checks totaling more than $20!

  10. It looks like the solid-colored Traveler shirts are not included in this deal, but if you buy 4 or more you get 50% off.  And if you are on ebates, you get an extra 8% back!  Thanks for the heads-up!
