We have a new friend in our home. She is sleek, skinny, and stylish with a beautiful profile. She has no extra baggage or wires, vibrant coloring, and she unleashes my kids' creativity with the touch of a finger. She helps get homework done and plays beautiful music. She is super efficient and can multi-task like none other. If she folded laundry, she could probably be nominated for sainthood. What did we ever do without her??
Please meet:
the HP TouchSmart 320PC with AMD VISION technology,
here on 320 Sycamore!!

Is it fate or what?? Truly a relationship meant to be.
I could probably give 320 reasons as to why we are loving this computer, but let’s just talk about a few:
* Simple to set up. I did it all by myself, no help required, in a matter of 10 minutes. Plug in the power cord, plug in the little usb thing for the wireless mouse and keyboard into the back of the screen, and I was good to go!

*ONE power cord. That’s it. It has a wireless keyboard, wireless mouse, and a free standing screen. There are no big boxes, bulky hard drive, or a hot mess of wires. It fits beautifully in a small space.
* HP TouchSmart 320’s touch display. My kids think it’s the coolest ever, and it’s great for those developing motor skills. I also love that you can switch back to the mouse or keyboard with one click if you are not in the mood for the touch screen.

* Pre-loaded educational games. They're usually sold separately but the nice folks at HP loaded them up for us to try out. My little ones love Mozart’s Musical Adventure.

My kids get 30 minutes of screen time a day and these days, they have all been choosing to use it on the computer. My older ones have a ton of fun with the Magic Canvas Graffiti.

In the past week and a half or so, we have used this computer to:
*watch a movie on the 20-inch HD display (it plays blu-rays!), the playback was really smooth with AMD’s VISION technology.
*make a family dvd! On our old computer, I could never figure out how to get our home movies off our camcorder and onto the computer. Every time I would turn on the camcorder, it would flash: “disk full, disk full!” Now, our precious movies are recorded on dvds because the HP Touchsmart 320 is so user friendly, I was able to figure it out. That is a small miracle.
* type up two reports for school. It comes with a great Microsoft Office starter program.
* play fun music for our Halloween party. It has Beats Audio for an awesome listening experience.
*keep in touch with Grandma and Grandpa on the other side of the country with the built in webcam.
*edit pictures and transfer music and files from our old computer in no time at all. This baby is FAST. My husband says it’s because of the 6GB DDR3 SDRAM system memory, but I think she’s magic because the photos are so vibrant and clear on this monitor.
*She’s available now at HP Direct for just $599.99!

ReplyDeleteWow! Great review! We are in desperate need of a new computer, my husband and I both graduated college in 2009 when the economy tanked! My (2005) HP laptop stopped working last year and his (2006) HP is on the brink of dying! We haven't been able to afford a new one since, but this looks like such a great option! Thank you! xo lesley
ReplyDeleteWe could so use a computer! Currently, we do not have for the kids... can't justify the expense because their barely in school, but this would be perfect for their little hands to use!
ReplyDeleteI'm about to go back to school for my graduate degree, and my dinosaur of a laptop just isn't going to get the job done- I could so use this baby!
ReplyDeleteYes! Busy mom needs this for her new craigslist desk!!
ReplyDeleteHi, I love seeing your home projects. You've inspired me to copy and try a few myself. I would love to win this cool computer! We are a family of six with one computer and it's in high demand for school reports and every thing everybody wants to be able to do. It would be an excellent gift for the whole family. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeletePick me! We are having the harddrive replaced on our laptop for the second time in one year. We have been without it for a couple of weeks. Our daughter needs a dependable and easy to use computer to do her school work. I'm tired of looking on the Internet with my iPod.
ReplyDeleteMy family would love this, our little boy especially. It is perfect for family gatherings! My husband is starting a new job so this would be a great gift to us...hooray we graduated and got a career job!
ReplyDeleteOh what a super giveaway! Like so many others our computer is not working. I need to have it looked at but no funds. Thank goodness for my iPhone. I'd really love to have a working computer.

I would love to use this to run my at home business!! My 3 year old would also definitely benefit as right now she uses her dads droid as a computer!! Educational and business uses!!
ReplyDeletehttps://mobile.twitter.com/#!/firefamclothing/status/136505536530219008 my tweet!! Oh yeah....for skype my nieces and nephew that live far away!!
ReplyDeleteWe have reverted to using our phones for most of our online stuff since our computer has declared its senility. Please give, oh, give away that gorgeous little piece of technology to us and we can reclaim our dignity as computer owners. (And keep those thrifty home deco hints coming! Love them!)
ReplyDeleteThe HP Touchsmart is sooo needed in our home! As a family of five we would have many uses for this awesome computer. And because it's so sleek and cord-free, we would be able to put it in our kitchen and create a small area for homework, bill-paying, and looking up recipes as I cook. The kitchen is the heart of our home and the HP Touchsmart would fit perfectly!
ReplyDeleteI love the sleek look and not having a million cords to organize! This computer would be great for my new office :-) love your blog.
ReplyDeleteThis computer would be perfect for my family! We need a new computer so badly!
ReplyDeleteThis computer would REALLY help my deaf and hard of hearing students. They need so much visual and tactile feedback and the HP touchsmart seems perfect. Especially with the build in games!! The screen size would be wonderful to use to video chat with, a DHH teacher's dream!!! Our class size is small and our school is private so we don't always have the funds to meet their needs. This would be such a blessing!!
ReplyDeleteThis would be perfect for our house. My two boys would love the games and I love the idea of no bulky CPU!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh we could so use this! My son was born with a limb difference and can't really use a mouse well. This would be so awesome for him!!
ReplyDeleteThat last comment was mine. Ack.
ReplyDeleteWe would love this our little computer is getting old. This would be wonderful for our homeschool classroom. Thank you and HP for this wonderful oppurtunity.
ReplyDeleteThis mama of 5 NEEDS, WISHES, let's face it, LUSTS over the thought of being able to have a working computer for the entire family to use and share and learn and skype with far away family (im NOT taking two 2 yr olds, a 4 yr old, and two 6yr olds on an airplane!!!) Its never in the budget to buy a new one and typing on a phone stinks!! If i knew how to bribe a computer generated blog drawing- i wld do it... now!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh how nice! We do a neighborhood preschool each mother takes a turn teaching. This would be a fun and useful tool for centers!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a blessing this will be to who ever wins it! We would put it to use by making it our family's computer. My laptop was killed by a cup of coffee from my oldest son well over a year ago and we've been using my husbands limping dinosaur ever since! We also don't currently have a working DVD player so this would be doubly awesome! Thanks for the chance to win it!
