Questions

16 July 2014

It's been a long time since we’ve shared questions. Here’s some heavy duty summer contemplations as of late:

* Do all kids say nana nana boo boo when they want you to chase them?

* How come you feel like a better mom when the fridge is full?

While seeing all of the school supplies appearing on the shelves. why are they #2 pencils? Can’t they ever be #1??

Does your stomach magically begin to hurt when someone is talking about a stomach bug going around?

Did you have any traumatic movies/shows from your childhood that you can still remember?

Here are mine – they still send shivers.

Watcher in the Woods – Narek anyone?

Return to Oz --- those heads! Wheelers, the hospital.

Scariest Little House ever. Sylvia and that clown mask. Nightmares.

Last of all: Why is summer going by so darn fast?

  2. LOL. I actually love all those scary movies. Some of my favorites!! But I am a little older than you so they weren't terribly scary to me.

  5. I know exactly What you mean about the fridge being full; I get a sense of knowing, 'We'll be OK for a while, I can provide for my family' and that gives me the Warm & Fuzzies!
Oh boy about scary movies! Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is old but the Child Catcher!! I still will those two children to stay inside and peek through my fingers watching that film!
    Thank you for sharing :)

  6. Hilarious! Watcher in the Woods (a DISNEY movie) still scares the bejesus out of me. I mean that fun house? let's just say not FUN at all! That old school station wagon? Yikes! And Bette Davis so super creepy. I had no idea that was Kyle Richards from RHOBH until recently. Another one that always creeped me out was the Alice in Wonderland TV movie--Through the Looking Glass i think it was. With the White Queen (Carol Channing) and Red Queen and the blasted Jabberwocky. And then obviously David Bowie in the Labyrinth. CREEPY!

  7. #2 pencils are the correct hardness level of the graphite to make a mark that is legible. #1 is too soft and makes a smeary mess, #3-4 are too hard and can hardly be seen. Now you know. I recently discovered your blog and LOVE it! Keep up the good work.

  9. Watcher in the Woods was so scary to me as a kid. And my older sister thought it was hilarious to tease my younger sister Karen by calling her Nerak in a creepy voice. Bleh. Still gives me the heebeejeebees!

  11. Just wondering if you use the Olay moisturizer you list as a good deal. I would like a lightweight sunscreen to use on my face when I go outside walking, but my face sweats a lot when I am in the heat. What has been your experience with this product? Thanks so much. I really appreciate the good deals you list each week and find them really helpful.

    1. Yes, I love it. But I use it after I exercise though. And we don't have humidity here.
