I love...I have a Magnolia in the garden (HUGE one). I love it and hate it. My advice is..to plant it where it does not drop things on your patio or where you mind a mess. The tree first drops casings from the buds, then the petals, then the seed pods, finally the leaves....Ours was already planted so we didn't have a choice but it is right by the patio and we spend all the time from Spring through Fall sweeping.
