Are you ready for a paint part-ay? Here we go!
Here are some paint colors in my home:
In my kitchen, we have Benjamin Moore Wilmington Tan
a tan with gold undertones~very rich, love it with red accents, but I would suggest a room with lots of light on this one.

In the family room, we have Nester's Tobacco Road (almost~it's a bit different base, but really close)

In our main bath, we have Lowe's (Valspar) Smoke Infusion. Blue is very hard to get right. I love this color, but would go even lighter next time:

In the master bath, we have Benjamin Moore Lenox Tan. Love it in the main part, but in the area behind the door, it can develop green undertones. With all of these paint colors, get a tester first, and try it out before you buy gallons.

And this weekend, I re-painted my entryway with Benjamin Moore Baby Turtle. They had to cut through the walls when we were getting some new pipe installed, so I had to re-paint.

Here is the button you can add to your post:
Melissa..
ReplyDeleteI love the Smoke Infusion! And it's my favorite brand VALSPAR! I like it with the brown.. just what I'm looking for to do my master bath. Thank you so much for doing this lil color party.. I needed fresh ideas as well.
Hugs,
Debbie
I love the back of the door black! All your colors are great! The blue smoky color is gorgeous! It reminds me of our Master Bath, which is Restoration Hardware Silver Sage. Thanks for being a great hostess! I have loved the posts all week!
ReplyDeleteThe day is finally here!! I can't wait to see what everyone shows. I love the colors of your house. I must say, I am sad to see you had to paint over your entry with all the time you spent doing it the first time around and I LOVED that. The green is a fun change though. I am still lovin' the smoke infusion at my place! I got your greens at Tai Pan--last one--plus a few extras finds of my own. They had more mark downs--thanks for the excuse to go again--Michael will thank you in his own way I am sure!:)
ReplyDeleteHey Melissa! I just wanted to tell you that Rhoda from Southern Hospitality has a Grass Cloth laundry room and office nook: http://southernhospitality-rhoda.blogspot.com/2008/07/happy-green-laundry-room.html
ReplyDeleteI found her blog a few months after we painted our basement and saw my new favorite green in her beautiful laundry room! I think that her kitchen and my family room are the same color (LA Olive 4) as well! As for natural light, the only light our basement gets is through that little window you see in the picture. Hope that helps! Of course we want to see pics when you decide on a color!
Thanks for getting back to me, Shelly! I'll definitely check out Rhoda's laundry room~I hope she'll feature it with some of her paint colors tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteAll the colors are great....so excited to find your blog. Enjoyed reading your blog today..still finding my way around blogland....I always love making new friends..I am posting about Disney so hope you will stop by. Commenting automatically puts you in the drawing for the June giveaway.
ReplyDeleteMelissa, I love, love, love your blue bathroom. My entire house is done in earthy browns, reds, golds, greens. However my Master Bedroom & Bathroom are done in an a light Aqua color. Something so soothing and relaxing about a pale blue.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely be taking notes from blogs today and then head on over to store to get samples of the ones I love the most! This party is a great idea! I need to paint my bathroom so maybe this will inspire me!
ReplyDeletethanks for hosting this! LOVE LOVE LOVE paint- I daydream about paint! I carry swatches with me and my heart starts to race when I go down the paint ilse at the home improvement stores. (my heart races at the fabric stores too but thats another story ;-) )
ReplyDeleteI'm here too! Hope everyone will come on over & check out my faves too. It's always fun to see real homes with real paint colors instead of just those little chips.
ReplyDeleteMelissa, I know lots who have used Baby Turtle as well as Tobacco Road. TB has been a popular color around Atlanta for many years.
Thanks for doing this. I was great to see some colors because I have some painting projects coming up. Love your clock and the pictures beside it...very classy.
ReplyDeleteNice colors.
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa! I really love both of those bathrooms, they are so chic! I just joined the party and posted my favorite color. But I am Paint Color ADD, so I'm sure I'll have a new favorite color tomorrow. :)
ReplyDeleteI meant to have this post up last night, but then I had "blog drama" I was dealing with. Better late than never, though, I figure!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting this fabulous party, Melissa. I've already visited a few people and I'm taking notes. Love all of your paint colors, too! :-)
This is so fun. I was planning on joining in and then realized that I have no names/brands to put with my paint colors. Nothing more frustrating than seeing the color that you love on someone's wall and not knowing what it is. :)
ReplyDeleteI have many more rooms to paint so this will give me great ideas. :)
I just discovered your blog recently and I love it! You have great taste!
ReplyDeleteLove all the paint colors you chose. So nice and calming! Now since we are talking about paint, how do you keep it safe for the home and the kids? Like do you air the room out for several days, avoid the room, etc. or do you use non-toxic paint? I want to paint so much around the house but I have a little toddler and worried.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love, your blog, and love, love, love your paint colors!! Thanks for hosting, and for all your amazing ideas!
ReplyDeleteDang, I just posted something yesterday about the new paint job we gave our bathroom. Since it's a product review, I am not sure I can update it with a link to here, so here it is in case you wanna see what color we chose:http://fabulouslyfrugalicious.blogspot.com/2009/06/my-bathroom-makeover-featuring-refresh.html
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of a blue-gray for my guest room, but I'm finding that gray is tricky. All those undertones make choosing just the right one a challenge! I love that smoky color in your bath.
ReplyDeleteHi my name is Bren @ embellish-vintageembellishments and I signed up to participate in your link "my favorite paint color" and I did something wrong. I am not sure how to just link my post? Long story short, would you please remove my link since it is not working properly. Sorry! I'll try again. P.S. Glad I found your Blog!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE your black door Melissa! I've been wanting to do mine too...if I can just find the time! This is so fun, I am glad I got to participate in your party and I can't wait to be able to look around and see all the other fabulous colors! :)

Melissa - I LOVE all the paint colors. Thanks for doing this, it gave me some great ideas. I also love your new entryway color, I can't believe you had to paint over it but it turned out wonderful. Your whole house is inspiring. :) Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for hosting this fun party. I have my color sticks out right now and I'm putting stars next to my favorites. And randomly, I also wanted to comment on how beautiful your button is. I just love it! I know that was random.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the party! I can't wait to look at everyone's paint colors. And I love your colors by the way...especially the new color in your hallway. It's spectacular.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I just figured out you're a Utah gal. I'm originally from there. Woo hoo!
Hi Melissa,
ReplyDeleteThanks for throwing this wonderful paint party! I just found you through Rhoda at Southern Hospitality so decided to join in the fun. I love the Benjamin Moore Lenox tan color you used in your bath. It looks rich and draws you into the room. Now that I found you I look forward to following your blog. Drop by my site anytime; it is always nice to meet new friends.
~Cathy~
So very beautiful! I have been trying to figure out how to redo my bedroom. I have some pretty old furniture that I think could be treasures if I do something with it. I love the robin egg blue and I have been trying to find that color for months, but just having a hard time with it. My gut tells me no. I don't know why!! Then I saw the smoke infusion color and I am going to check that color out! Love your blog! Have been a reader for awhile and decided to become a blogger myself. I just have to find the time to get with it!
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa,
ReplyDeleteI just found your wonderful blog and now have inspiration from you.
Lovely paint colors!
I hope you can come by and visit mine as well.

ReplyDeleteI love your house and all of your colors. It's beautiful...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful paint colors! I would love to join in, but I don't remember the names of my paint colors. =( There were from 4 years ago so I don't even know if they have the same ones.
ReplyDeleteLove a good paint party! Thank you for hosting it. I really like the tan color in your master bath! Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marie

Remember me...the crazy Mom of 5 in GA. I just love your posts and dream of having the eye like you for making over yard sale treasures. I just finished my laundry make-over a few hours ago before I even realized this great paint party was going on! The color goes right along with your new blog colors! Come check it out and let me know what you think! I hope you don't mind I posted two links...one for my laundry room and another from an old post with the Home Depot Tabacco Road paint formula.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting the party! I love all of your colors and can't wait to check out all the others.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for throwing this wonderful paint party. I love your beautiful home, the black door has inspired me and I am heading to the store right now to get the paint.

ReplyDeleteJennifer
Very pretty! I love how the black door turned out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting! I think five folks in my reader were participating and I just couldn't resist! Loved reading about your master redo a while back.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post...I think I put my link in wrong though...how do you put that specific post...I am not very blog savvy yet!! Anyway, love this idea.
ReplyDeleteLeAnn:)

ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting- what a great idea. It's great timing for me since we are painting every room of our new-old house starting tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteGreat party idea! Love your colors! Jen
ReplyDeleteThanks for throwing the party! I hope it's better late than never. Plus, I'm on the West Coast. It took me awhile to gather my info. I also didn't really mean to post my entire name, but too late now. I love your bathroom color. If you check out mine, you'll see some similar colors at my house. Thanks again,
ReplyDeleteKaren B.
Your colors are all gorgeous and make the rooms! Love your decor!! We are just starting the process of redoing a whiole house, so it's a little daunting to try and pick everything at once, but fun. :)
ReplyDeleteand ps. being slightly tired, I entered only my description, not my name in Mr. Linky. Sigh.
I fixed my link (56) so if you have the power to delete the wrong one (52) please do.
ReplyDeleteHope I am not too late in joining the party. Lovin' all the colors you posted. I am seriously getting a painting-itch!
ReplyDeleteSorry! You can delete #57. I forgot to link to the post! This is my first time doing this :(
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for starting the party. I've found so many great paint colors through this. I just went by Benjamin Moore today and they gave me the paint fan deck FREE!! Wahoo! I couldn't have been more excited! And I was truly prepared to pay!
ReplyDeleteNormally we buy from Lowe's but I'm considering buying from Benjamin Moore or just matching it with Valspar at Lowe's.
I'm painting some rooms soon so it's great to see these colors and now find them in my new fan deck.
Thanks for hosting the paint party, it so much fun to peek at everyone's houses. I am loving the colors so far.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea for a party! So sorry I am late and couldn't get to a whole post about this, but I added my post where I share my new favorite GREEN!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting! :-)
xoxo
Thanks for the great colors! And where oh where did you get that clock in your family room? Adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love the blue in the first bathroom. You're right...it's a hard color to work with, as I have learned a few times. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get moved so I can join all the fun parties. I hope you do lots of paint parties because I will need to decide on colors once I get settled and decide what I'm going to do in the new place.

ReplyDeleteMelissa, sorry for being so very late with my post. I went out of town unexpectedly and did not remember to post before I left. Great colors and fabulous entries. Thanks for hosting. I did post late!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty colors in your home!! Thanks for throwing this paint party - I hope it encourages more people to be bold with paint!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting the Paint Party and for commenting on my post! I used Krylon Apple Green spray paint on my little table. I love it! I'm thinking about painting more things that color!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to find the links to all these paint colors but am not having any luck... can you help a poor girl out??
ReplyDeleteWould love to know the name of the material for your mistreatment in your blue bathroom ~ love it!!!
ReplyDeleteI've painted my bedroom with Wilmington Tan and am debating what color to paint the trim. Can I ask what you used? Right now, I've left it the original white, but the double closets doors really seem to stand out. Should I be lazy and just paint the trim with the same color as the walls? ;-) Thanks!
ReplyDeletePLEASE HELP!
