Hello! Things are finally starting to slow down here as our main summer traveling and craziness is over and Hailey has began her training at home for her missionary service for our church. I'm hoping to get back into a regular blogging schedule! 

Today I'm sharing favorites from this summer while we still have plenty of summer to enjoy. 

* I got this cabinet at Target for our entryway to give it a little update. It has been out of stock but you can sign up for an email when it comes back! I have loved it.  The Studio McGee plant on top is another favorite and probaby one of the best faux plants I have seen but it may be discontinued. Target has some amazing faux plants right now -- I saw these in store last week  for $5 and they are perfect for placing on a shelf or nightstand for a little green.

* My SIL Jamie got me hooked on this salad and it has been a staple for the summer. Simply take some greens, this garlic herb goat cheese (I find it at Walmart in the deli section), and Brianna's Blush Wine Vinaigrette, and add some nuts, apples, berries, whatever you have on hand. Yummmmm.

* Nike Court Legacy Sneaker! Comfy, go with almost anything, and wipeable leather. ♥

* I have been pairing this concealer (fav!) with this Maybelline BB Cream. It's light, fresh, and has sunscreen and the medium seems to be the perfect shad with slightly tanned skin.  * To get that little bit of sunglow I don't sit out in the sun but I do love to use Jergen's Natural Glow for the face a couple of times a week.

* This Casaluna Clarity candle! My favorite candle of the summer -- the smell and throw are awesome and the scent combination is fresh but soft and smells like a fancy hotel. LOVE ♥ A little pricey but it has lasted me 2 months already with frequent burning.

* The Downeast demi tee. I wish I looked like this when I wear it but I actually wear it UNDER things -- a dress with low armpits or a blouse with a low plunging neckline. It's light and and not a full on tee so it's perfect for summer and a wardrobe staple for me and my girls that have served missions.

* Folex Carpet Cleaner! My sisters shared this on our AZ trip and it really is amazing. Buy it at Home Depot or Lowe's for $5.99 instead of Amazon's $12

* Time and Tru Tiered knit dress. Everyone had this at the Anderson reunion this summer. Comfy, lightweight, fun colors, and $13?? Add to cart!

* Hearth and Hand Oil Cloth Tablecloths  I got these last year and they are the best for outdoors. Wipeable and they have weighted magnets in the corners!

* Herb Scissors: I got these from my MIL Danielle and didn't even know what they were. But they are the best for cutting up basil, cilantro, parsley, or other herbs into the small,  pretty strips.

* a family favorite: Telestrations! My stomach hurts after playing with my kids because some of us are not as talented in the art department which makes for some crazy games. We even taken pics of our favorites for a Telestrations hall of fame that I need to make into a book. This is the best price I've seen in a long time! ($12 --not sure how long it will last)

Hello and happy summer! I tried to get to get some patriotic spirit around here -- it's been SO HOT. Like record breaking but I think most of you are facing the same thing. 

I hung these flag buntings under my windows with command hooks and they kept blowing off and so my friend Lydia had a genius idea to use sticky tack at the top of each hook and it totally worked and they have stayed in place! I love smart neighbors.

I found these on my phone from 2 years ago but it's from one of my favorite neighborhoods in Sugarhouse (near Salt Lake City) Look at these tree lined streets and classic, timeless homes.

Since we are still officially in the first week of summer, I thought I'd share some of my favorites for summer today! Pour a glass of lemonade, put your feet up in the shade and enjoy:

* Loft Sunglasses -- I haven't found better quality for the price ($10-$15) and they are always stylish

* I Love Love Perfume by Moschino -- ok. Let's just first establish that the packaging and bottle get zero stars but I love this smell, especially for summer! Fresh, light, citrusy and I would say a bit like D&G Light Blue? * Continuous Mist Spray Bottle -- my friend Lydia brought this up to Girl's Camp to keep us cool (also great for doing hair or ironing!) and I was sold. You don't have to keep pumping, it just holds the spray in a fine mist. * Melona frozen bars -- these are SO good. We get them at Costco and they are the perfect summer treat. * Garnier Moisture Rescue Cream -- I love this for summer! It is refreshing because it cools as you apply it and my skin drinks it up. and I would compare it to Clinique Moisture Surge except it's a quarter of the price. * Sandwich Maker -- this saves us in the summer because adults aren't required! The kids just plug it in, add bread or tortillas and then add cheese, meat, scrambled eggs, pepperoni, whatever and close it. In a minute it will give you a delicious, cheesy lunch, breakfast, or snack without having to worry about pans, burners, flipping it over, etc. * My favorite Bath & Body candles this summer are: Midnight Blue Citrus, Gingham, Watermelon Lemonade, and Sun Washed Citrus * Hidden Valley Fiesta Ranch -- my SIL Jamie had this out with a platter of veggies when we were over at their house and I couldn't stop eating it! We are hooked. * Time and Tru Hacci Dress -- this is the softest, most comfy dress. It's roomy and just great to throw on for any summer activity or over your swimsuit. Or to bed. Did I mention pockets and only $12? I have the grey and this is a closeup of the soft material: * Bird Scare Tape -- Ok, I shared this last year but I wanted to report that it has totally worked! No birds on our porch for over a year, even in the spring when they would always make their nests above our door or above the windows. I'm sure there are some I forgot but there you go!
