This was our table this morning. Let’s analyze, shall we? 1. Fathers Day cards that need to be sent out
2. jars & bug spray from catching fireflies last night (they have just begun to come out around here!)
3. table needs to be refinished~it’s on the list.
5. beads~those darn tiny iron ones that they love so much
6. my new phone upgrade that I need to program
7. for a project coming up
8. breakfast remains
9. empty milk jug that no one bothered to throw away…C’MON
10. Who in the heck is on garbage duty??
Summer has thrown me and I’m in a bit of a funk as far as the blog goes. Tons of stuff&projects I need to put into posts, but finding the time and energy right now is tough when it’s so nice outside…
For now though, I need to thank Emily at Decorchick! She gave us the heads up on clearance 5X7 rugs at Lowes for $34! {ETA: see comments below: people are now getting them for $17!!} I got this one on Tuesday…I was at Lowes, couldn’t find them, so I called Kristin and made her go to Emily’s to find the item number for me in the comments. Then I took it up front, they punched it in and the computer said there were 2 more left. Sooo, the guy called back to rugs, they couldn’t find them and they said “sorry, it looks like they’re gone.”
cha right.
I went back to the rug section and started digging. I found them across from the hanging rugs, standing up in plastic.
The item number is: 147081 (for this one~there are two other styles I guess, but I don’t have the item numbers for them, but if anyone has them, please post in the comments!)
You can call your Lowes, give them the item number and they can look it up. If they say they have some, have them put them on hold for you if they will. If the computer says they have them and the people working there say they don’t, I would go looking myself.
Okay, and one more little Lowes tip: did you know you can buy the 10% coupons on Ebay? Make sure they are actual coupons (like the kind you get in the mail), not printouts, copies, or emails and that you have plenty of time before they expire, but they can save you lots of $$, especially if you have some projects in the works. I thought it was supposed to be illegal to sell coupons, but the sellers get around it by saying the coupons are free, you are paying for the time and money it takes to collect them. Sneaky.
H. Depot also accepts any Lowes coupons FYI…
ETA Again: If you already bought some at $34, if you take your receipt in they should do a price adjustment for you! Lindsay posted a picture of all 3 rugs here.
Item Numbers:
Green Print (pictured above) 147081
Zebra Print: 0139243
Flower Print: 147943
That's an awesome rug! I would get one, but I have a measley balcony and not a nice, spacious deck. One day...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up! I ventured to my local lowes just now and the rug was $17! The guy said the price just went down today... I'm not quite sure if it should be used outside since it says spot clean only for care. Please let me know how yours holds up outside :-)
ReplyDeleteGot mine for $17 also! I bought the floral rug - item #147943. Same deal - had to ask for assistance and they were on a rolling rack by help desk. A great deal! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGot the last green morrocan one and paid $17! Thanks for posting about it!
ReplyDeleteGreat deal on the rugs!! I love yours.
ReplyDeleteI can relate on the summer projects and letting somethings pile up.
Ruth
Thanks for the heads up! I really wanted the flower one, but they only had the green and the zebra. My 11 yr old was convinced we should get the zebra, we went with the green one. I have ugly vinyl florring in the kitchen/breakfast area. So when I saw this on your site this morning I thought it would at least hide some of the floor and define the eating area. Looks great!!
ReplyDeleteADVICE NEEDED!!!! Thanks for the great $17 rug lead. I got the last one in my VA area but the rug was wrapped in plastic and has mold all over it! Does anyone have ANY tips on how to get rid of mold on a jute rug? I left it in the sun all day then it rained a bit on it overnight...ughhh.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Melissa! I was there yesterday and looked all around and could not find them. I didn't have the number with me. So I just called the store. They have 2 and are holding them for me til tomorrow! I hope they're still there! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Anita! I don't know why I thought they were outdoor rugs...maybe cuz I'm
ReplyDeleteusing mine outside?? So glad you got some! :)
Wow! That's a DEAL. $34 dollars is not even in the budget right now with Birthdays and Father's day, but $17. I might just be able to squeeze that in. Going to check it out today. I'm your newest follower. :)
ReplyDeleteCrystal
I think we should do an "anatomy of" linky party and show the "real deal". It may be overwhelming and scary. I might take pictures of my kids rooms in the morning, they are a delight to see!
ReplyDeletePicked mine up this morning after I saw this post. I was so excited when it came up $17! It will look great on our new wrap around porch we're building. Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! I've been looking for a rug for our patio and called our Lowes (in Layton, Utah) and they had three in stock. So I ran down there and bought 2 because they were $17 each! Yippee!! I'll be giving one to our daughter! Thanks again. Mimi
ReplyDeleteI'm so in a need of a deck rug, so thank you for this! I'm going to see if my Lowes has any in stock right now!
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa, I got two today! I got there after they said they would hold the last 2 for me and low and behold they could not find them. They had looked with the outdoor rugs but I don't think they are for outdoors. I had to dig and around and found them in the rug department like you. But nowhere on the label does it say outdoor rug. It is jute and with the rubber backing I don't think it will hold up well out doors unless it's covered. I really wanted it for my patio that is not covered. But since I got them for $15 I went ahead and bought them for the for the bonus room upstairs. I got a 10% military discount on top of the $17! Thanks so much :)
ReplyDeleteHad to tell you that the Lowe's by my house had them even MORE on clearance today! I got 3 at $17 a pop...total $51! The original price is $70! Love it! Thanks for the heads up :)
ReplyDeleteMust be an epidemic...my kitchen table has a similar look most days!
ReplyDeleteLove that pretty rug! I'm convinced that most salespeople don't really look that hard when you ask them to.
I'm going to check to see if my Lowe's has them. If you go to the US post office & request a moving packet, there's a 10% off coupon in the packet. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, honey. I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one with a table that looks like that. The only problem is that I don't have small children --you do! And I'm not deep in the throes of a bunch of projects--you are! So you have excellent excuses; I just have a messy table.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got your rug! What a fun purchase for $34! Thanks for the tip about the coupons--wish I'd known about that before I bought my washer and dryer! :)
Great rug, I love the style and color. I am with you, love to be outside, so it's hard to concentrate on the house. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let everyone know that I just called my Lowes in Illinois and they gave me a price of $17 (I verified that it was for the 5x7)! Woohoo!
