cleaning up outside + $100 giveaway!

Our deck was screaming for a good cleaning and facelift. It has been neglected for 3 years since we moved in, and we decided it was time to get to it. This is after a round of power washing:

We didn’t want to change colors because it would be too much of a pain to strip all of the old stain off of the sides and spindles, so we stuck with the same redwood color stain to (kind of!) simplify things.

Our house and hammock also were in desperate need of a good scrub down because this is what happens in Virginia with humidity!

Our outside has never been so ready~bring on the fireflies and bbq’s!
