I’ve been toying around with the built-ins and challenged myself to autumn-ify them without spending any money -- use what I had in my fall décor (that survived the move!):
the only thing that I updated was my acorn frame -- it took quite a beating on our move out here, so I had to mix some fake acorns in with the real ones from our hike to Cascade Falls in Virginia:
I’ve collected quite a few white pumpkins over the years (these are all fake) in a thrift store basket
I’ve been super homesick for a Virginia autumn -- I was transferring pictures from my hard drive and it about killed me when I came to October.
I need to get myself up into beautiful Utah canyons, quick!
I love everything about those shelves! The globes! The phone! Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ellen! :)
ReplyDeleteSo Pretty. I love your acorn frame. Here in Utah the leaves are just starting to turn but it won't be long now.
ReplyDeleteI moved to CA from New England at the end of the summer and the first autumn here I was so missing the fall color it hurt.
ReplyDeleteDarn, as a Utah resident I was hoping those pics were from Utah! I don't want to drag my kids up there two weekends in a row so I am trying to time our visit for just the right weekend.
ReplyDeleteNothing beats fall in Virginia. We just bought ten acres and LOVE it -- the leaves are just starting to turn a teeny bit. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteYour shelves look great for Autumn, Melissa. Just enough seasonal touches to be relevant and pretty!
ReplyDeleteThere's no Fall as pretty as a Virginia Fall, in my opinion. I'm sure you are missing it. Here's an idea: you could come see me in North Carolina and we could drive up the Virginia right quick. What do you think? :)
I just love your styling! And, we miss you here in VA -- come back any time ;)
