    curtains for long big windows

    27 May 2015

Hello! Today we’re talking curtains for the family room for our big tall windows.  The window gives gorgeous views of the mountians and right now the sun is directly overhead during the day so it doesn't glare in the windows. But in the fall, winter and early spring the sun is at just the right angle where sun comes pouring in and it can get hot and bright. Sooo, I started looking at tall curtains and let me tell you they are EXPENSIVE. Anything over the standard ikea 108” length will cost you dearly. But I didn’t want to spend dearly, especially if I wasn’t IN LOVE with them. And I found nothing in a 12ft tall size that I was in love with. So, I turned to drop cloths! I bought this 9X12 one for $20. You can also get them at Home Depot and Lowes, but these are the least expensive.  A warning:  some reviews said theirs had 2 seams(?)  but mine was right down the middle so it was perfect.
