99th post

20 February 2009

Which means....on Monday I'll have a giveaway for my 100th post! I'm so excited for it and think you'll love the treasures I have set aside especially for the occasion....

Some of you have asked how my baby is doing and how five kids is...

He's so good. He slept from 11:30 to 5:30 this morning, which is our longest stretch yet. Yea! Five has not been that different, mostly because my oldest two are 7 and 8 1/2, which means they can do so much more by themselves and are a huge help. When they were sick this month, I realized how much they do help me out~I missed it! So, it's been a pretty smooth transition, but of course we have our days and my biggest challenge is my little 2 year old who loves the baby (loves to lay on the baby, swing the baby very high, almost catapult the baby out of the bouncer, sneeze on the baby, you get the idea)

Here is a shot of him from our little outing to the park yesterday:

Have a wonderful weekend~I'll see you back here on Monday!

  4. I think you are just so wonderful Melissa! I know you don't know me but I have really been enjoying all the cool things you do! I wish I could be as creative as you are! Yesterday I went to the thrift store to see if I could find anything to transform like you do. . . I was wishing you were there to help me spot something. I just ended up getting some things for my kids. Maybe next time. If you have any good gift ideas (that I could make) I would LOVE to hear about them. I am starting early for Christmas this year. Your baby is a doll! My email address is jamiehodgkin@hotmail.com if you have a minute to jot a few ideas down. Thanks

He sleeps longer than Brooklyn too! You make 5 look so easy!:) p.s. I think you should do a post where you list all your favorite paint colors from your famous home file--either that or e-mail it to me when you get a chance! LOVES!

  14. He is SUCH a cutie! What a sweet sweet photo. 5 kids? Wow! I am super impressed. I only had two. My oldest is 5 years older than my daughter and I remember how much help he was too. Oh and he used to be so adorable doing the big brother thing and holding her hand. Those days are long since gone. Ha! Happy 100 coming up!

  15. Awwhh...so sweet! I admire you with 5 children....I was a chicken and just took mine 12 years apart which is a lot easier on me...though being old and raising a 4 year old is a challage.
