3. Something pretty
I thought our bird friend fit perfectly next to the eggs and grapevine balls.

4. Spa it up Towels
Aveeno bath bars in the jar on the right. Cheap and, oh so, spa-like (right?)

5. Lighting
I didn't do a lamp because of the cord issue and the fact that I only have one outlet in the bathroom and I have a wallflower in it. So I took some real cotton from our picking adventure and put it around a candle for my lighting.

And another that I like to add in bathrooms:
magazines in a basket
Because, let's face it. Sometimes the only moments I get to myself are in the bathroom, so I take advantage of them and let my guests do the same.
Now, in the sake of being real: the above pictures were taken during naptime. Here's what it looked like tonight after a whirlwind of baths and teeth brushing. I also think everyone needs a hot pink towel to wipe up bath splashes.

ReplyDeleteLove all the little 'details' ..bird, soap in the jar, etc. That shower curtain is AMAZING and what a SCORE of a deal! Love it. Oh and thanks for sharing it 'real' too. My daughter's bath (which is the guest bath) has clothes behind the door piled up! Ah, life with a teen.
ReplyDeleteAll your details are great! But I have to admit that my favorite picture is the one with the towel on the floor. That's real life and it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI have to share a funny story. I noticed YoYo Ma on your playlist on your blog. I have a son in first grade and I was going through his school folder. That day on the calendar his teacher had written Yo Yo Ma. His teacher is in her 50's and this struck me as very funny. I started to write a note back to her, "Yo Yo Ms. D!" and then I realized that was the title of the book he brought home that day. My hubby and I really laughed at that! The image of his hip teacher! Yo Yo!
Beautiful details! I love the real cotton around the candle. My favorite, though, is the pic with the towel on the floor. So real!!!
ReplyDeletethanks so much, everyone! Your compliments are making my day...
ReplyDeleteWendy~the birds are in the back in the garden section they are just putting out. It was right next to the Roundup, lol!

ReplyDeletehere's to another try....
i LOVE your shower curtain! I redid my bathroom a few months ago in these very SAME colors and it was SO hard for me to find a shower curtain that i absolutely LOVED! But i'm totally lovin' yours!
Maybe i'll make a trip to the Target here and see if i can find anything.
LOVED YOUR 10 MINUTE CHANGES!
loving the bathroom...simple and cute! Love the glass jars...I want to get some of them.
ReplyDeleteYour bathroom is so beautiful! I love those glass jars- got to get me some of those. Maybe my kids won't break them...
ReplyDeleteYou did a beautiful job! I am a little concerned about the cotton - if you light the candle, you could be inviting a fire hazard. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa! I'm having a giveaway for one of these shower curtains, and I linked back to this post. Let me know if that's not okay.
