20 minute organization, 1 yr of Southern Living magazine for $5!

15 May 2009

How's that for a title?? My boys and I were cleaning up the garage this morning after my whirlwind project procrastination. Isn't that the worst part of these projects? The cleanup? Yuck.

Anyway, this shelf was driving me crazy. So, we set the timer for 20 minutes and went to town...

Much better. Am I the only one that keeps board games in the garage? They take up so much room and don't need to be a temperature controlled environment, so the garage works best for us.
I've limited myself to one shelf for my spray paint and various other paints. Soooo, do you think I have a problem? These are 3 deep and 7 across, meaning 21 cans. I need help...
And, for all of you southern gals (or even if you're not~it's a great magazine!):
A one-year subscription to Southern Living magazine for $5.00!!
Click here and it will take you to Grandin Road, where they have a $25,000 contest(enter if you want) Look down at the bottom where it says "Exclusive Offer," then add to your cart. Then it will take you to your cart to checkout. Sweet! I love grabbing this magazine in the checkout aisle~now I can have it delivered to my home. Thanks to Grammie at Fishing for Deals for this one. It would be a great gift as well~not sure how long it will last...
have a wonderful weekend!!

  1. THANK YOU!!!

I couldn't get over there quick enough :)

I don't think you can buy even one issue of SL for $5 now.

Good job on the shelf organization too. I think I have that many cans of interior/exterior paint at home. Maybe we should form a support group?

I really like Southern Living Magazine, and I live in Nebraska.
I have a lot of spray paint too, isn't it the best?

  8. Well this is simply fantastic (and fateful?)....I just DIDN'T renew my SL mag because the one year renewal was $29!! I had got a great deal for my first subscription but when I saw the renewal rate, I couldn't justify paying that. Thank You!!!!

  10. Ok, that may seem silly to you..but it seems so PREPARED to me right now. I ahd time to go by a yard sale and ;ick up 3 frames for a dollar..I ahd maybe enough time to paint them while babies slept. I did NOT have enough time to go buy spray paint. Guess what I didnt have :)

  15. I have to say my favorite part, though I love the organized spray paint shelf, Type A girl that I am, is the $5 subscription! I have been wanting to get Southern Living for awhile now but never did the research to see how much it was. Now it should be coming to my house! :) Thanks Melissa!

  18. I would love to come to your garage and borrow some of that spray paint! I hate spending money on the stuff...especially when I can't find the color I want at Big Lots. Love your blog by the way!
