Hello everyone! Many of you have been saying your Dollar Trees are out of the supplies~ I just wanted to let you know that now you can get the hurricanes
and the candlesticks
usually in cases but some let you get less and may be able to get them shipped for free to the store or pay to have them shipped to your home. Good luck! Have you ever gotten out of the dollar store spending only $1??
It can be done!
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, though, I was only replacing a bag of ornaments my doggie thought were toys for her!
No, I never spend just $1. I always find too many things. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteAre you serious?? That is really awesome! Thanks for letting us know that Melissa!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Jen
I love you blog, so fun!
ReplyDeleteI love you blog, so fun!
ReplyDeleteYour glass hurricane idea is brilliant Melissa! In Canada, we have a Dollar Store (same idea) but I have never seen anything like your hurricane glass jars in there :-). And no, I have NEVER walked out after just spending a dollar ~ don't think it can be done! Looking forward to tomorrow's party.
ReplyDeleteI had to go to 3 different stores to find the vase part...I am gonna have a craft day and make these and post pics on my blog...I will send you the link when I do! I also got the stuff from the dollar store to make this super cute wreath: http://www.eddieross.com/eddie_ross/crafts/page/2/
ReplyDeleteSpend $1! HaHaHaHa!
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky if I make it out of there under $20 - to be fair though I only go once every couple of months.
Love your idea, may have to make my own.
OK Melissa I did it. I made the hurricane's and loooove them. Check out my blog to see pictures. And I never spend just $1.

Funny I just ordered my hurricanes and candlesticks online! I am giving them as gifts for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMy hubbie told me one time that they ought to call it the $20 store. ;)
ReplyDeleteI can't ever walk out spending less than $10!!! :)
ReplyDeleteNeed a little help. I bought these for presents and used hot glue, to attach the base to the hurricane glass. I checked them 24 hours later and each based popped off. They did not adhere at all. Did anyone else have this problem or is there another product to use. I feel I must have not done it right.
ReplyDeleteHi Laura~ if you read in the original post and comments http://www.320sycamoreblog.com/2009/11/dollar-store-version-of-ws-glass.htmlwe recommended e6000 if hot glue doesn't work. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI can't find the candles. I would have thought this would have been the easiest of the three items to find, but apparently it's not for me. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteGrocery stores! in the hispanic aisle, usually there are white worship candles. Good luck~
ReplyDeleteI bought the lamp at Dollar Tree, but the candle at Family Dollar and it is taller than the lamp is. The candle is 8 in. How tall should the lamp be?
ReplyDeleteFound the candles at Family Dollar store.
