Here are a few of my favorite things:
Why Christmas Trees Aren't Perfect
One of my all-time favorite Christmas books that helps bring the focus back where it's supposed to be~your whole family will love it.
Little Women Soundtrack
I listen to this soundtrack all year around. Thomas Newman is a musical genius: I love the whole thing~it is cozy, comfy, and beautiful.

Lindt Truffles=divine.
I especially love the white chocolate, but they are all delectable, rich, and smooth as silk.
Our Best Bites breadsticks.
My neighbors asked for one thing this year for their birthday. "I want you to bring me a batch of your breadsticks!"
Shhhh...they're not mine, but they don't have to know that, right? ;)
Target (Up and up) night time baby wash.
I dare you to bathe your kids with this and try not to kiss them afterward when they are in their snuggly pajamas.
Joy first introduced me to this handy helper. It makes spray painting much more enjoyable and no more black spray paint finger! You can find them at Walmart or other big box stores for around $3.
My college roommate (Dani!) introduced Loreal Voluminous mascara to me and I've been using it since. Never found anything better, but waterproof is a must for me:
Wet & Wild 666 lip liner: I've been using this baby since high school! I've seen it featured in numerous magazines, most recently in Good Housekeeping: "This fabulous neutral works on everyone. And at 99 cents, it's a steal." —Maria Verel, makeup artist, New York City
I line my lips with it, put on some soft lips chapstick, and I'm good to go:
Bath & Body Works Winter home fragrance oil.
It smells like Christmas~there is no other way to describe it. People walk into my home during the holidays and instantly want to know what it is they smell and where I got it. I try to tell them that it's the natural smell of my home, but they don't buy it :)

Chico's Silver Ox Cuff Watch
Oprah had this on her 2002 favorite things show, and I think it's the only thing I've ever been able to afford off of her list. I lost my first one and got another ~ it's a perfect, classic watch that can be worn with anything. I love it and love that Chico's still makes it. ($40)

You know I wouldn't leave this out, right??

ReplyDeleteGoodMorning Melissa
ReplyDeleteI think I am going to get some great Christmas gift ideas today :-) The spray Grip for spray paint cans is a great idea and perfect for my husband AND son & my daughter would love the Bath and Body Works Winter home fragrance oil! Looking forward to seeing everyone's Favourite Things today. Thanks for hosting.
This is fun! I share some of your favorites, like the Spray Grip (a life saver when you're doing a big spray-painting project!). My daughter has a "Lily" mug--I found it at Hallmark and put it in her stocking last year. Oh, and I love those Lindt truffles, too. Yum! :-)
ReplyDeleteMelissa, this is really fun! I loved reading about your favorite things, and I enjoyed writing about mine. Now off to visit other bloggers and find out what they like.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm really truthful, I should say that blogging is one of my favorite things. And yours is among my favorite blogs!
Thanks for hosting a fun party. :)
Good stuff, Melissa! I remember that Chicos cuff watch from long ago too & never got it. AND, I did a post last year on my fave comestics & Wet N Wild #666 is on my list too! I have been using it for probably 15-20 years. Love the stuff & the price!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!! I really had fun making the list. I too use a spray grip and I LOVE it. No more spray paint finger cramp :)
ReplyDeleteLove that watch and at $40 that's a good deal!!
This is one of the best parties ever! I love this kind of stuff and too funny that we were doing baths last night with my son's bath cup with his name on it - one of your favorites - and I thought how much I love the cup! Weird how little things make us so happy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the party, i've linked up. Cant wait to see everybodys favorite things.
ReplyDeleteI used to know the Wet & Wild lip pencil tip but I had forgotten it. Thanks for the reminder. And I'm getting one of those spray paint can do-dads if I have to buy it for my own Christmas stocking! I'll have to try "your" breadsticks. They look delish! Thanks for sharing. This is fun :).
ReplyDeleteThanks for the party. I'm getting some great ideas and new things I just have to try. I'm sorry, I should have put where I get the suit cases. The Land of Nod. I think it's www.landofnod.com . I have the blue and green ones in one daughter's room and the pink ones in another. I just love the look and they're great storage.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a party! I've been looking forward to it since you announced it. That watch you posted is great! I've been looking for one similar to that!
ReplyDeleteI am a fairly new follower of your blog and just SO enjoying it! :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for coming up with this favorites party. It is so much fun and I'm getting a whole list of things I want to try. There is no better advertising than word of mouth (or word of blog).
ReplyDeleteJust di mine- had to play, I still have people visiting from your my favorite paint color party. to this day. Anyways- thanks for the spray paint grip tip! I hate to spray paint because my finger HURTS after a bit. This should help. Also those breadsticks are a must ry! My faovrite movie will always be the Grinch. The cartoon since I was a kid and now the Jim Carey version.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting such a fun party!!
I finally finished my list! Thanks for hosting this party. I love your blog and so glad I found it.

ReplyDeleteHey Melissa - Love your list! In fact, I use the exact same mascara. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI just realized I haven't been a follower of yours, and I can't for the life of me remember why. I've signed up now, so I'm sure I'll be stopping by more often.

ReplyDeleteThis was so much fun! I was reading everyone's list at work and couldn't wait to jump on the bandwagon. I can't wait to try the target baby wash!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful list! I need one of those spray paint gripper things -- my thumb is currently black from spray painting this afternoon :) And It's A Wonderful Life is my favorite Christmas time movie!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Jen

ReplyDeleteI recently wrote a post about my favorite things....what a coincidence. I love reading these....they're so fun! :)
ReplyDeleteWe actually used one of the Little Women songs at our wedding right after we were pronounced husband and wife and went back up the aisle. It was so perfect!
ReplyDeleteI think a trip to B&B is in order tomorrow and that lipstick looks so great. Yea!
What fun Melissa!! I've been so busy I have had time to blog hop! I was so upset I almost missed your party!! - glad you still had Mister Linky up this morning!!
ReplyDelete~TidyMom
We could be twins - or maybe sisters! With the exception of a few items on your list that I've never tried...some of your favorites are mine too! Lindt chocolate? Little Women? Perfect Christmas Tree? Grip Srayer? Yep, even the L'Oreal mascara (the only kind I will buy!). Check, check, and check! Great list. :)
ReplyDeleteThis was so fun!!! Thanks so much for hosting! So funny, I have been using lip liner #666 for as long as I can remember!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sariah
Would you please tell me how you use the fragrance oil?? Do you have some way to heat it?
ReplyDeleteThis party actually sounds like alot of fun.
ReplyDeleteI'll join in this week. Thanks to Tidymom for providing a link to your blog.
I missed the deadline, but here is the link for my favorites. I can't wait to try out some of the others.

Ahhhh! How did I miss this party? I'm going to have to go through everyone's link. I watch Little Women every year, and have always loved the music and wanted the soundtrack. Now I really Need to Get It!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I've used that lipliner too. It works great in a pinch to line, then "color in" your lips and top with lip balm.
I missed the party:( but wanted to share my favorite things still! Please check out my post by visiting:
