Look at them go to town even amidst the weeds…I had to bring some in and try it on the $40 craigslist dresser I brought into the entryway. I don’t think I’m going to paint this one..I actually love the wood. The handles and the keyholes are actually what made my heart kind of stop for a second though…
It makes me want to get married in May just so I can have peonies at my wedding…{no, there’s no funny business going on here…I mean marry the same man all over again…except with peonies this time}
Happy Thursday~
They are so beautiful. So many of you out there are lucky to have these in your yards. So jealous :) Love the dresser as is!
ReplyDeletePeonies...my favorite flower. And they smell like heaven. I love that dresser, too. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the peonies. Oh! yes, leave the dresser as she is. She is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE peonies!! So envious. ;) I can't get my one plant at the end of the driveaway to do anything. I think I need to move it. Your photos are just gorgeous. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree you shouldn't paint it! Love the peonies too!
ReplyDeleteYou luck girl! What a plesant surprise! They look so beautiful nestled on your fabulous dresser. I think your right about the not painting it. It's beautiful just the way it is.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why, but the "we gots" just makes me giggle LOL!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful peonies!

Peonies are one of my favourites and one of the few things I love about our house (my husband bought the place before we were married). We have four mature plants and I added two more new ones this year!
ReplyDeleteThat dresser is fantastic!
What a beautiful piece of furniture! I'm excited that craigslist is in Argentina but it hasn't quite made it to the interior yet. 99% of what's offered is in the greater Buenos Aires area which is a looooooong 9 hours from us :-(
ReplyDeleteDefinitely leave it alone; it has CHARACTER!
Lovely, lovely flowers. *envy* 'cause it's late fall and cold here.
Beautiful peonies! In Germany they are called "Pfingst Rosen"-- Pentecost roses because they bloom for Pentecost- enjoy!
ReplyDeleteoh so envious of your be.a.u.tiful peonies!!!
ReplyDeleteThat piece of furniture is fabulous. I don't know how you girls find such good stuff on Craigslist. I go on there and just look and look. I guess there is a method to the madness that I haven't figured out.
ReplyDeletethat IS a great dresser, my jaw is just droppin'. great peonies too.
ReplyDeleteLove me some peonies.
ReplyDeleteI've seen these flowers all over blogland lol...very popular but I understand why!
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriends parents have this flower in their garden and they seem so delicate..after rainfall they seem to lose their petals : (

I'm so glad you decided not to paint that dresser. I'm usually not a huge fan of stained wood either but that patina is gorgeous and the handles are too. And the flowers, what a nice surprise! We just bought a new house but so far nothings coming up except weeds and poisin ivy!
ReplyDeleteWe do have some nice forsythia bushes though so I won't complain :)
peonies are my favorite they are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteHow loverly!!! Peonies are a new love of mine.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the dresser. . . it has so much charm!
my peonies just finished up and I miss them already! Love the dresser exactly the way it is!
ReplyDeleteLOVE peonies! They are the best smelling flower! You're a lucky girl to have them in your yard...I planted one two years ago and still no blooms!

ReplyDeleteYou lucky duck! I adore peonies and yours are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteOH, that dresser is to die for - and at that price!!
ReplyDeleteMy peonies were gorgeous a few weeks ago. They are done for the season now. When they were bloomin', I cut them and put them in vases all over the house. It was gorgeous :)
Now, I'm waiting for my fav - shasta daisies to bloom :)
Hello sweet Melissa - love your peonies! My fave flower. And the white are so soft and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMay I ask where you got your fabulous lamps? Love the shape and color.
