These clips are from the Dollar Tree:
We had some leftover trim from finishing our basement, so we spray painted it, then attached the clips with E6000, a super duty glue that you all clued me in on. (thank you!) Let them sit overnight to dry.
Then, we just nailed them up and attached the artwork.
Next, we’ve got to do something about that table & chairs and find a fun, funky lamp, but this is progress! Wahooooo!

ReplyDeleteI have not been to the dollar tree in awhile. These could be quite handy for lots of things. I like what you did with them and that green is great. I'm thinking some stripes might be fun on those table and chairs :)

ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Why don't you cover the lamp shade and add some funky fringe? Spray paint it lime green and you have a funky lamp!

ReplyDeleteYou are so creative. You really think outside the box. Thanks for the idea. We're always looking for ways to display the kids' craft papers from story-time. They really enjoy seeing their story related things hanging in the library and this would not take up any room at all plus it wouldn't mess up the plaster on our walls with taping and untaping. I'm going to pass this idea along to our school system too. Our new elementary school has something similar out in the hallways where the papers just slide under a metal grid like thing on the top. This would be perfect for in the class.

ReplyDeleteI love this idea, Melissa! I teach second grade, and my classroom doesn't really have good display space. I would love to do something like this outside my classroom. I am always looking for something to display my students' work that doesn't require stapling/unstapling or taping/untaping. My school shares space with a church, so the property committe may not approve it, but I will show your post to the headmaster for a great visual!
