* I love the commentary on my shopping lists:
* Sadness: Did anyone else die over this bunny stand at Pottery Barn?? Of course, I waited until our budget was brand new in March and went to order it (only $15, free shipping!) but they are ALL OUT of stock. And apparently, every store is out of stock. that blasted budget.
If you were luck to get one, you may want to sell it on Ebay. Just sayin'…
* I introduced my kids to the Brady Bunch. It’s on INSP..thank goodness for stations like that. They love them and I love remembering them! I think 2 of my favorites are when they lose the plans at the amusement park and Jan’s locket from Alice.
Mostly….I want an Alice. What did Mrs. Brady do all day??image via
And of course, I notice the house. I love that horse ^, and how cool would that gray wainscoting ^
or this paneling ^ be in a boys room today?
* I am in mourning because of this:
I feel like I finally know it so well and now it’s going…I am really sad about it. What will the pictures on 320 Sycamore be without Picnik?? Is there another program that you love that I could get acquainted with?
* And finally…I couldn’t resist these at the grocery store today. A bright spot against a rainy backdrop.
Long time reader, first time commenter :) I've learned through the blog world that people associated with Picnik will be launching a new site called picmonkey. You can go to their website to add your name to their notification email list. Hope this helps :)

ReplyDeleteI use Picasa. Love the bunny stand! It's so stinkin' cute. :)
ReplyDeleteI, too, am not happy about Picnik closing. I use Photoshop for most of my editing and sometimes use Picnik for some final touches. I do some editing in Picasa and on http://pixlr.com/ too. Hope that helps.
ReplyDeleteThe fritos comment is hilarious!!
ReplyDeleteSo.....are you going to share your Fritos with the kids? ;)

ReplyDeletePB has the cutest things! I loving going there! Bummer that they ran out of the cute plate. :(
ReplyDeleteI'm super sad about Picnik going away. What is Google doing? Ending Picnik and ending GFC for non google/blogger domains? Makes no sense to me...but who am I?.
I know, I'm so bummed about Picnik! I'm going to follow another commenter's advice & check out fotoflex. I've also heard that Picasa is good, but I haven't figured it out yet.
ReplyDeleteI thought that Picnik was just moving to Google+ I don't know if it will be the same at all, but that is what the email said that was sent to me notifying me that there would no longer be the picnik address.
ReplyDeleteI am so sad about picnik, too!! I used it all the time :( I use Picasa now but I'm not sure how I feel about it. I guess I just haven't really figured it out, yet. I'll have to try the other sites people have mentioned on here. The flowers are so beautiful and make me anxious for Spring!! PS - I'm happy we share the same love for the name Lauren. It's my baby girls name who turns one this month :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, my "connection" to the Brady bunch was that clown picture in the boys' room. My mom had the same exact picture in our house too. No kidding. In my brothers' room, too. P.S. I love Daffodils. And Tulips. Hyacinths. Crocus. Jonquils. all of Springs' flowers make me smile.
ReplyDeleteI found this for a Picnik replacement. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks pretty good.

ooooh, thanks Jen! I'm going to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you think, Kristin! Lauren is checking on one for me, but if she can't find it, maybe we can come up with something :)
ReplyDeleteI know. A lot have already sold for that! They are supposed to get more in next year...I think I'll just wait. :)
ReplyDeleteOh I hope your weekend gets better...no bunnie, losing Picnik. Next time that I go into town I will bemore than happy to look at PB for your little bunnie. He is so cute.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the bunny stand. How about a thrift shop bunny, thrift shop plate, can of hearloom white and some gorilla glue?
ReplyDeleteWe were just at our PB yesterday and I am pretty sure they had the bunny stand...more than one maybe?
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tip!
ReplyDeleteI too am dissapointed about picnik and unfortunately there isn't anything quite like it yet but pixlr express and fotoflexer are close. Pixlr Express is actually working on some of the airbrush, eye bright type things that picnik has but they already have a lot of the photo editing things like cross process and other color editing selections :)
ReplyDeletethank so much, Melissa! I finally was able to order 2 on the website. They are out of stock again now!
ReplyDeleteI ordered two of the little bunny cloches they had, Melissa. They were {supposedly} out of stock at the time, but the order went through, so I've got my fingers crossed. I think it was part of this same set.

I noticed that someone took your advice and is selling the bunny cupcake stand on ebay.... for a slightly inflationary cost, of course... - $70.00!!!!! People crack me up!! LOL
ReplyDeleteIt has been a favorite since I was 16! :)
ReplyDeleteUse http://ipiccy.com/ they are better than picnik ; o )
