* giveaway closed. Winner is #229, Monica: "I am loving the "mint" trend. I love a cool minty green or minty blue nail color . . . like #26 Fairy Princess!"
I’ve decided one can usually gauge the craziness of my life at any given moment by looking at 2 things:
1. the inside of my car
2. my toenails
They just seem to be things that are extras: if I get around to them, that’s awesome, but if life gets crazy busy you’ll know by the smashed Goldfish in the van upholstery and my chipped toenail polish.
For my toenails, I got a huge help in the mail a few weeks ago from the Sonia Kashuk line at Target. Look at these fun colors:
First, I need to tell you that Sonia Kashuk was already in my makeup bag--my favorite lipstick is her “Soft Pink" shade (so thrilled to see that Kate at It’s the Small Things loves this one too!). I also had some fall nail polish by her, and now I can’t believe what they have done with this new formula. Let me show you:
Here is April 26 with 2 fresh coats of Sonia Kashuk #28 Tango Mango Nail Colour. No base coat, no top coat. Love this color for summer!
warning: toe pictures ahead!
Here are my toes on May 9, 15 days later! This is with no touch-ups. I go barefoot most of the day, kids run over my toes with matchbox cars and Thomas trains, I bang into a kitchen chair daily. I couldn’t believe it--no chips anywhere. I am sold. I wonder if S.K. can do anything for my van interior?
Here is #26, fairy princess, I’ve been testing out these past few weeks with no touchups or base coats again:
Things I ♥:
*It's under $5 a bottle, thank you very much! What a fun way to add color to your summer style without breaking the bank.
*It is the most affordable "3-free" on the market. What the heck is 3-free, you ask? Sonia Kashuk Nail Colour is free of the most common toxic chemicals found in nail polish: Dibutyl Phthalate (BDP), Formaldehyde and Toluene.
*We’ve already talked about the chip resistance and the longevity: wowsers.
*I love the new look she’s given her other products as well. You can see them all here.
What about YOU? Anyone interested in a $100 Target GiftCard provided by BlogHer?
To enter, just tell me: What new nail polish trend are you interested in?
*I was given the Sonia Kashuk products to try, but the opinions are mine: honest & unbiased.
Good luck!!

I love the new fun colors, and the great patterns everyone seems to have.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited to try this brand. I bought cheap polish, the quality was the same as the price. =( I love the tiny stickers for nails. I get lots of comments asking if I got a pedicure. Nope I splurge on a big pack of nail stickers!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this great product.
It seems like awesome nail polish!!! Wow, about 15 days!! I am terrible with trends:( thank you for this giveaway!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is excellent staying power! Who knew?? Personally I am in love with metallic polish right now. And turquoise. My toes have been some shade of green-blue or another for a month!
ReplyDeleteI love the new press on stickers!

Hmm... Nail trends? I'm just a mom with five little girls-- that's 120 nails to paint when we pull out the polish. I'm sold on the no base coat, cute colors, durability, and low price. I just thought of my current trend- painting the baby's toes. Have you ever seen how cute it is when a baby girl has cute, painted toenails? Darling.
ReplyDeleteI love sonia kashuk!!!! Can't wait to try the polishes :)

ReplyDeleteI'm too old for this trend, but I love it when you paint one nail or toe a different color than the rest.

ReplyDelete15 days? I would love to try that polish! I don't even get that staying power out of my gel nail polish, usually a week at best.

Metallics for sure!
ReplyDeleteI also judge the chaos level of our schedule/household by the neglect of my toenails! Really love that blue shade. I'm excited to try this polish!
ReplyDeleteNice, that polish looks awesome after even two weeks! The other day I saw some nail polish that was magnetized- there is some magnet in the brush handle or something that you hold over the second coat and it somehow gets all wavy from the magnet. Pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteI love fun, bright summer colors like turquoise and coral.
ReplyDeleteI really would like to try ombre but I worry it would be too out there for work.
ReplyDeleteI like the shades of pink.
ReplyDeleteJust found your site from YHL, loving everything!
ReplyDeleteI love the Ombre look, but I need to do some more (pinterest) research to figure out how do-able it actually is.
ReplyDeletei love all the bold jewel tones - i just bought a beautiful blue and a green. I'm obsessed!!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the blues.
ReplyDeleteI am always interested in the ombre trend, but since I have a teething age infant I skip my fingers altogether and stick to a coral or vampy red on my toes.
ReplyDeleteI just found the perfect pink!

I lve the mint green trend that has been going on lately...it is so summer!
ReplyDeleteI don't get around to doing my nails either...always the last thing. So, when I do get them done, I almost always get a french tip in shellac on my toenails so they can last awhile.

ReplyDeleteNail polish trend, what? With a 2.5 year old and a baby, I'm doing good if my toes are painted with last year's polish and only halfway chipped off!
ReplyDeleteI am loving coral shades right now! I also just tried the polish strips today, so easy and they look great!
ReplyDeleteI like the blues.
ReplyDeleteI like nail art. Usually I just wear pink. Thanks for the review and giveaway.

I'm loving all the extra glitter and sparkle I'm seeing in nail polishes!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you posted about this fingernail polish. I've wondered if it was a good product. I love the cute colors.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it is a trend, but I love nail polish with a little bit of sparkle to them.
ReplyDeleteOh this is just my thing! I've been playing around with my nails lately, The trend I am most interested in is the nail art. You know where you turn a french manicure into a lady bug, or use some of the stuff you have around the house to add funky textures or cut outs.
