a fixer upper parade of homes

19 July 2016

Here is another home I wanted to feature from the 2016 Utah Valley Parade of Homes – the Killpack residence from Foster Custom Homes.

This rambler with a basement had 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and 5687 square feet.
Here is the floor plan they provided:

This one was so fun to walk through because it was done in a Fixer Upper style, featuring Magnolia Home furniture throughout provided by Osmond Design in Utah.

The entrance came right into a cozy family room

with a fireplace and flanked with 2 glass bookcases and comfy velvet chairs.

I also loved the wood beams!

It flowed right into an open kitchen

Notice at the unique range hood and classic Joanna Gaines style black and white backsplash:

The multi-colored wood floors had great color variation and seemed like they would hide dirt so well!

I fell in love with these black spindle chairs in the dining area

but look at this great office area that can be closed off with barn doors. Such a great idea!

The paint was all in Magnolia paint as well – this french gray paired so well with the antique brass:

Mudroom cubbies:

A pantry that also could be closed off with a barn door:

And then on the other side of the upstairs was a lovely master with a brick wall treatment

And the master bath – notice the brick floor!

I love little details like this table under the square window

and this wood wall treatment in the hallway

with framed cotton!

What great wallpaper used as an accent wall

The basement family room area:

The truth! I wanted to steal this:

And another classic bath with hex tile and dark counters. Notice the strip of penny tile in the shower.

I really did love the Magnolia Home furniture line – I checked out those chairs I loved and they were $200 each at the store near me, but seemed to be less expensive at some places online if you could pick them up.

Thanks for coming along ~
