Hello! I've been doing some spring cleaning around here. One of my most dreaded jobs is the tile in the master bathroom. I've established that it's something I would definitely do differently if we built again but oh well! All those little grout lines on those cute hex tiles are a pain in the rear to clean!!
I decided to try this recipe from an old Magnolia Journal (I love that magazine!!)
1/2 cup baking soda
1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide
1 teaspoon dish soap (blue Dawn is best)
Here is what it looks like before. Dingy, kind of yellow-ish.
And after!! It really lets the white come through.
I just mix it in a glass bowl with a lid and use a little tile brush to go to town on all of those little hexes. I love that there are no harsh chemicals or fumes.
Here is the progress!
I really need to get more rugs in there to protect these little tiles so it's not such a chore. Happy (?) Scrubbing!
