One of our very favorite books is Officer Buckle & Gloria.

Officer Buckle and his dog pal Gloria share safety tips and number them, so I thought it would be fun to do here once in awhile.

We’ll see how far I get :)

Tip #1:  Put some mixed nuts in a bowl (this one is from the dollar tree) for  simple, lovely autumn decor. Plus, it makes for a great snack that keeps the kids entertained.

It is messy though, so we keep ours next to the garbage with the nutcracker.

Did your Grandpa always have nuts out with a nutcracker?

My Target Halloween went 90% off this morning..wahoo! So, you know I’m a bit obsessed with urns. How could I pass this up?? (it’s big! even though it doesn’t look like it in the pic) I’m thinking I could turn the skull to other side and spray paint right over the red jewels..what do you think? A $25 urn for $2.50?
