Holy November! I've been trying to get Halloween down today, and recover from the weekend. We had a fabulous Halloween, and am ready to move on to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and a new baby at the beginning of the year! I loved your ideas about the table legs~I was seriously just going to chuck them, but with all of the suggestions, how can I throw them away?? I will keep you posted if I do anything with them, but right now, my project list is getting a little out of hand.
We finished the boys' room, so here are a few pics:

You know the story of the letters, I just went with a basic navy comforter from Target clearance and a green sham (more Target clearance)
Under $10, under an hour projects
Exactly the type of projects I love. I'm going to start a new category on my sidebar with easy peasy projects like these that don't break the bank.
Okay, so it's not exactly fabulous like I told you, but it's a great way of recycling! You know the 3 legged tables I'm talking about. I seriously see them at yard sales and Goodwill all of the time, you may have some in your house, you can buy them at Walmart for around $7.
We had 2 that we used as nightstands, and when we graduated to a black Target bedroom set, (someday we may have real furniture!! ) we decided to get rid of the little tables.

Here are some good deals to start your weekend!
Bath and Body Works just sent a coupon for a FREE wallflower or scentport with ANY purchase.

That means you can print the coupon off and buy a cute gift bag, box, or nail file for around a dollar and then you get either of these items free. The girls at my store are super nice and said my daughter could get one while we were there too. The email says to share with a friend, so I'm sharing it with all of you. One more Christmas present down, cha-ching!
Shutterfly is my favorite online photo service~I think their quality is the best.
Right now, they have a promotion if you are a new member, you get 50 free 4X6 prints with free shipping. I signed up my husband since I had an old account and got the free prints credited to the account right away. I wish I could get my baby announcements finished right now so I could get them printed, but I kind of need a baby, a picture (and a name!) to do that...lol! Think Christmas cards as well...My free prints expire November 23. Happy Friday~have a fabulous weekend!
I am not much of a "fryer." I think I have maybe fried something in oil once, maybe twice in my life??? I don't like the way it makes the house and clothes smell and it just seems like a lot of work. And I always laugh when I think of the line from Sweet Home Alabama when Candice Bergen tells Reese Witherspoon's mom "why don't you go back to your double wide and fry something" and then gets punched out. Oh, that makes me want to watch that now.
Anyway, for our little rotating preschool, I had the letter "d" and I found this super simple donut recipe. It looked so easy in fact, I was willing to fry. We tried it and liked it so much, we made them again for our family night.

I just want to give a shout-out to my friend Shandy. She is a photoshop, scrapbook genius, AND a mother of 4 boys and twin girls. Yea, she's amazing.
I promise she's not paying me to do this, I just think it's a great service. She just launched a new website called Photo Flattery. So, basically you send her a photo and she makes it look fantastic for only $5 on up, depending on what you have her do. You know I love a good deal, and trust me, this is. Google it and you won't find anything less expensive. She also does announcements, invitations, christmas cards, etc. The nice thing with her is that she designs it, and then you can print them wherever you would like to, which can save so much.
Melissa over at the Inspired Room is having a Fall Porch tour. I love looking at front porches, especially in the fall! I not only love her name, but Melissa's got a great site dedicated to home. From her site: a happy mix of realistic interior design, simple homemaking and inspiration for authentic living.
So, here are some I took out on my yard sale adventures. I have no idea who lives in these and I was getting some very strange looks from the gardeners and workers around the neighborhood, so I just snapped a few and ran!
