Have a great weekend and if you haven't already, you have through Sunday to comment on my houzz interview for the chance at the $50 Target gift card. Good luck!
p.s. if you have photoshop elements and are wondering how I colored the pumpkins, here is a great tutorial.
I'm sure you've heard about Houzz.com. It's an amazing resource of thousands of home pictures where you can find inspiration for any room in your house.
I was shocked when Adi from Houzz contacted me to be featured and interviewed. First of all, I have never even had an interiew, and are you sure you want our humble little 70's home?
I felt like I was a bit out of my league, but this also made me love Houzz even more that they feature a variety of styles of decor and home styles.

I am so honored to have my first interview ever over there today~
go on over and leave a comment for a chance to win a $50 gift card to...
can you guess which store I chose?

Hi y'all! Great news to share: we got 2 offers on our house last week and we accepted one this weekend. Woowoowooo-hooo!
Of course it's not a done deal until the money is in the bank, but it's a first huge step in the right direction, right?
So, to celebrate, I bought something.
Last Saturday while our house was being shown, I was driving around with the kids and happened upon a yard sale. I saw this dresser and loved it. I couldn't believe it was still there at 3 in the afternoon.

We had a fabulous favorite paint color party and I was thinking...how fun would it be to have our own little favorite things party?
I'm totally copying Oprah.
You know the Oprah show I'm talking about...where she shares her favorite things from the past year that cost millions of dollars and everyone in the audience gets one and you immediately hate that you're not there and begin googling how to get a ticket for next year.

So mark your calendars for Thursday, November 19 and we can all share our own favorite things, but I'm thinking ours will be much more affordable. :)
You can share a list of 5-10 of your favorite finds that you would send to your best friends if you could~anything from your favorite lip gloss, chocolate, magazine, cd, home item, blog post, gadget, candle, electronic device, peanut butter, book, jewelry, item from an etsy store, socks, makeup remover, cleaning product...anything as long as it's your favorite, you've personally tried it, you're not trying to make money on it, and no one is paying you to talk about it.
I love recommendations from friends and can't wait to see what y'all will share! :)
I'm making my list already...
feel free to grab a button above and invite anyone.
I hope you have a great weekend~oh, and if you haven't read this, it's so worth it.
my favorite Nienie post so far

Under $10, under an hour projects
Under $10, under an hour projects
Exactly the type of projects I love. I'm going to start a new category on my sidebar with easy peasy projects like these that don't break the bank.
You know the 3 legged tables I'm talking about. I seriously see them at yard sales and Goodwill all of the time, you may have some in your house, you can buy them at Walmart for around $7.
We had 2 that we used as nightstands, and when we graduated to a black Target bedroom set, (someday we may have real furniture!! ) we decided to get rid of the little tables.
