* Sherwin Williams 40% off paint sale is going on this weekend! Did you know you can buy the paint now and tint it later? Check with your store, but it’s an awesome deal for quality paint.
In the manner of simplifying for the holidays, we have really looked over our traditions to decide which are worth keeping~ the ones that have meaning to our family, add to the purpose of the season, and are worth the time and effort. And which ones really just add to the stress.
Honestly, I have battled with Christmas cards. The whole ordeal of the pictures, the stamps, the addresses, a little family update without sounding too braggy. But then I get pictures and cards from my dear family and friends in my frozen mailbox in December and how I love to put their smiling faces on our pantry door where we can see them every day. And how I cherish the beautiful notes from my Grandmas who still write out a full card every year in their beautiful penmanship~that is becoming a lost art.
I read an article in Real Simple years ago, and was so touched by it that I cut it out and put it in my inspiration binder.
I was soooo tired of the jumbled mess of coats and backpacks in our entryway. We are renting, so I didn’t want to invest a lot of money or put a bunch of holes in the walls. This is what I came up with, very similar to what we did in our home in Virginia!
Happy November and RABBIT! Here are some deals to begin your weekend~
I shared this on Instagram, but did you know that Krispy Kreme will give a free doughnut for every A on a report card (plain glazed, up to 6 per child) I would call your store to double-check, but it’s a sweet deal. -pun intended-
About 10 years ago, we went to Disneyland with our 2 girls. (I was pregnant with #3) We had the girls’ silhouettes drawn on Main Street and they were so sweet. To make a long story short, our stroller with everything in it was stolen including our camera and the silhouettes. It was awful! We haven’t made it back to Disneyland yet and I have been meaning to do the kids’ silhouettes ever since. I even left spaces on the gallery wall in our last home for them, but just haven’t gotten around to it. I’m working on a little entryway project and decided this is the perfect time! These are super easy, I don’t know why I didn’t do them earlier…
As you may know, we are in the process of building a home. (yikes! still makes me nervous typing that) We haven’t even broken ground yet, and are waiting for permits to go through. (taking FOREVER.) This week we needed to nail down our exterior options so those can get ordered and it’s going to be LOTS of decisions from here on out.
So, I am deciding to open up my inspiration vaults (aka secret boards on Pinterest and inspiration notebook) to let you see what I’m drawing from. Now, these pictures are beautiful, awesome, everything I could ever want, but I’m also finding out can cost LOTS of money. And we are on a budget and really have to think about what to invest in now, what to wait on, or omit from the dream plan. I still love to look and be inspired though…
Dun da da dun: here they are! My favorite exteriors:

Would it be fair to say I adore dormer windows, white trim, and classic/cottage styles? And, I notice these all have beautiful old trees which we definitely won’t have right away.
What do you think? Which one would you pick to move into?
