a little weekend project

09 February 2009

I had sick kids again this weekend, so it wasn't the weekend to tackle our bathroom, but I had major cabin fever, so I did sneak out to the garage to work on a few bulletin boards:
I found this chunky frame with a velvet lining at a yard sale over this summer.

Here's a big old stained bulletin board that I got for .50~I cut out a piece to fit behind the frame,

a new coat of paint and now she's a lovely shade of black And now I have my inspiration board by the desk in the kitchen! It has some of my favorite quotes on it.

Motto for the day:
For my next project, I think I'm going to paint a huge mural of this on my kitchen wall. What do you think?

Happy Monday :)

  1. What a great little project. There are some days that I really need that sign but maybe in more places than just one! That way it could be seen everywhere....lol

  16. That's so cute. I LOVE all your cute projects. I stumbled upon your blog and I love reading it. I think it's funny that I used to live in Texas and now I live in Idaho. We were just in Texas for Christmas and I stopped to pick some cotton and put it in a glass jar too. Great minds think alike!!
