10 minutes to a bathroom you'll love: Nester Style

18 February 2009

1. Hide the Crest.

2. Fabric

New shower curtain from the other Target I went to. Yes, I went to another one, and found more deals. I think I'm going to take the other one back~this one just fit the bathroom better. And the price? $4.87 Love it!

{check}
3. Something pretty

I thought our bird friend fit perfectly next to the eggs and grapevine balls.

{check}

4. Spa it up Towels
Aveeno bath bars in the jar on the right. Cheap and, oh so, spa-like (right?)
{check}

5. Lighting

I didn't do a lamp because of the cord issue and the fact that I only have one outlet in the bathroom and I have a wallflower in it. So I took some real cotton from our picking adventure and put it around a candle for my lighting.
{check}

And another that I like to add in bathrooms:
magazines in a basket

Because, let's face it. Sometimes the only moments I get to myself are in the bathroom, so I take advantage of them and let my guests do the same.
Now, in the sake of being real: the above pictures were taken during naptime. Here's what it looked like tonight after a whirlwind of baths and teeth brushing. I also think everyone needs a hot pink towel to wipe up bath splashes.

Thanks, Nester! You know I love you~

  32. Love all the little 'details' ..bird, soap in the jar, etc. That shower curtain is AMAZING and what a SCORE of a deal! Love it. Oh and thanks for sharing it 'real' too. My daughter's bath (which is the guest bath) has clothes behind the door piled up! Ah, life with a teen.

  33. All your details are great! But I have to admit that my favorite picture is the one with the towel on the floor. That's real life and it's beautiful.
    I have to share a funny story. I noticed YoYo Ma on your playlist on your blog. I have a son in first grade and I was going through his school folder. That day on the calendar his teacher had written Yo Yo Ma. His teacher is in her 50's and this struck me as very funny. I started to write a note back to her, "Yo Yo Ms. D!" and then I realized that was the title of the book he brought home that day. My hubby and I really laughed at that! The image of his hip teacher! Yo Yo!

  58. You did a beautiful job! I am a little concerned about the cotton - if you light the candle, you could be inviting a fire hazard. Stay safe.
