This is a compensated review by BlogHer and Intel.
they sent me the laptop, I give you my honest thoughts about it:
It was a BEAST. Half the keys were missing (I let the kids play a game in their room on it, they left it out, and my baby found it) and it was so SLOW.
I feel like a new woman with this laptop! I can be editing a picture in Photoshop or Picnik, while uploading and deleting pictures from my camera, switch over to my email, a recipe from PW, or to Windows Live Writer to compose my blog posts, and it doesn’t blink an eye. I want to transfer 2,607 pics over from my memory card? Only 5 minutes, instead of 5 hours!
This processor is my new BFF. It has Intel® Turbo Boost Technology that automatically speeds up my processor when I’m multi-tasking and need the extra performance.
My whole goal with my computer is to get on, get what I need to get done quickly, and get off. The Intel® Core™ i5 processor is my dream for this.
Another feature we have been loving is the Intel Wireless dislay. You can wirelessly stream whatever is on your monitor onto your HDTV. What have I been doing with this? I’ve been streaming some classics from the Internet onto our TV screen downstairs. I’ve reminded my kids of some of my favorites:
Leave it to Beaver
what about one of the finer classics: when Zach and Kelly broke up??
Okay, now on to the good stuff!
BlogHer is going to give one of you a $250 gift card to Best Buy!

OOOOhhh! How cool is that! My best advise for the day to run smoothly is stay organized. Plan, plan, plan. Know what is for dinner in the morning so you can prepare what you need. It is great to plan a week at a time. This helps me with the stress and I'm more patient with the kids.
ReplyDeleteBrooke
So exciting! My best advice for a smooth day is being intentional with your time!
ReplyDeleteI don't remember if I made a comment on your first post (which post was that exactly?) either way, I wanted to make sure I entered this one! My day always runs more smoothly when I get up and shower first thing. Then I feel more motivated to get everything else done. Now as to whether I always do that, I'm not telling! :)
ReplyDeleteI tweeted!http://twitter.com/#!/chelsealeming
ReplyDeleteOh wow, i have the same compaq laptop, but i still have all my keys! the best thing that i can do is get all my cleaning up and straightening up early in the morning before all the kids wake up. i get all the homeschool stuff out and prepared, and i do anything on the computer that needs to get done. early is key. first one up, last one to go to bed.
ReplyDeleteMy best tip? Start your morning with prayer and continue with that throughout the day.:)
ReplyDeleteTo make my day run smoothly I wake up before my kids and have my quiet time. By the time they wake up I'm ready to go and can be the first smile they see in the morning.
ReplyDeleteMy best tip: Is getting up early(4:30am) for a good work out, some prayer and planning. I always notice a difference if I miss.
ReplyDeleteMy tip is the set out everyone's clothes the night before and have backpacks packed and ready to go:) bridgetsobs@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteHave a plan! Have a to-do list. Especially important at this time of year!
ReplyDeleteMake a written plan for the day with note of high priority items...
ReplyDeletePlan the night before. Have the things you'll need for the next day laid out. Make a list of things you would like to see get done that day. Most importantly talk with God throughout your day. He will help keep things in perspective and calm. He has a way of doing that. Julie
ReplyDeleteThe best organized day, actually starts the night before. Plan what I'm wearing to work the next day and iron it if needed, set the table for breakfast and preare the "non-refridgerator" stuff...etc. Makes my hectic mornings with the kids run much smoother!
ReplyDeleteI try to give myself an extra 15 minutes than what I will likely need in the morning. That way, I am ahead of the game all day. Otherwise, I'm always struggling to catch up.
ReplyDeleteMy day runs more smoothly if I get up before my kids! Just having a few minutes to myself helps immensely.
ReplyDeleteMy best tip to help my day go smoother is to have the kitchen cleaned up the night before! It is simple, but true!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this great giveaway! My day runs smoother when I have a "to do list". If not, I feel like my mind can get overwhelmed.
ReplyDeleteI tweeted about it!
ReplyDeletehttp://twitter.com/#!/katielaw50/status/6739930109706240
My day runs more smoothly if I have a schedule written out AND follow it! The second part of that is that challenge. Thanks for offering such a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy grandma always told my mom and my mom in turn shared with me that if the beds are made each morning and the dishes are done, everything else seems to fall into place. It works. Try it. Without both of those done it feels like you are just turning your wheels throughout the day.
ReplyDeleteI take 5 minutes in the morning to plan my day - it makes a HUGE difference!!!
ReplyDeleteWake up earlier than the family, which gives me time to get myself ready, feed & medicate(grrrr) the cat& dog. Gulp some coffee. Then I can take the family & their needs on.Oh how i would luv a laptop. I could do my ebay selling in peace, alone!
ReplyDeleteMy best advice for the day to go well is to begin with a prayer and reading the scriptures. It seems like if I feed my spirit first - everything else falls into place.
ReplyDeleteNext post has to be what gadget you use to wirelessly connect your laptop to the TV. I am not that savvy and I really want to watch some shows and Netflix on the wide screen TV.
ReplyDeleteMy tip is my "to do" list, I have to be able to see what it is that needs to be done!
ReplyDeleteI would love a gift card to Best Buy
ReplyDeleteMaking lunches the night before. We have to leave our house at 5:30 a.m and that extra few minutes makes all the difference that early in the morning :)
ReplyDeleteMy best tip: It's worth it to stay up after the kids and hubby are asleep to plan the next day! My only alone time is late at night...that's when I lay out clothes for the next day, get dinner in the slow cooker, set the coffee pot, make lunches, etc. It all takes a lot less time when there aren't any distractions!
ReplyDeleteamberlowmiddleton at gmail dot com
I try to have some time to myself to spend however I'd like every morning. It makes my whole day better when I have some me time first, then I can focus on everyone else!
ReplyDeleteOne thing that helps my day run smoothly is an excellent cup of java and a good attitude. Try to see everything as a blessing and don't waste time trying to determine if it falls under "good" or "bad." It just "is" so take another sip of your hot coffee, thank the Lord for the day and go for it!
ReplyDeleteWow I am so far behind the times! Computer and t.v. working together? AWesome :) My tips- Coffee (even if it is half-caff, I just double up). A few minutes of alone time (I'm a horrible a.m. person).A warm fleecy robe. These are absolute necessities, without them I would stay in bed all day.
ReplyDeleteIf I start the day with a prayer, what a difference!
ReplyDeleteMy tip to a smooth day is to have a clean house when you go to bed at night. Then you can spend all of your time on today's things instead of trying to catch up with things that should have been done yesterday.
ReplyDelete"Just do it!" is my tip, get it done and over with then you can move on with life! And nap time is a must around here, otherwise no matter how hard I try things will fall apart.
ReplyDeleteMy tip for a smoother day is to get the dishwasher unloaded the night before so you can pop the breakfast dishes in. A clean kitchen always makes my day better.
ReplyDeleteMichelle B.
My tip for a smoother day is to sleep enough the night before... when the mama is happy and rested, the rest of the family is too! I am also a routine person... try to stick to it when it comes to the things that MUST get done.
ReplyDeleteStay Organized!!
ReplyDelete- Debbie
Get a head start!
ReplyDeleteSeriously. Early in the morning the house is quiet and you can get a lot done!
Early is my 'smooth start' to the day.
I write a to do list every morning and I accomplish a lot more with it than if I didn't write one.
ReplyDeletemaking my list and checking it a lot!
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is to do some exercise because that will leave you feeling energized for the rest of the day !!Energy=getting stuff done :) happy cleaning
ReplyDeleteMy day runs smoothly if it begins right, and that usually means I get things picked up and in place before bed. When I wake up to find things messy I feel like the whole day is spent playing catch-up.
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is to make sure everything is clean before you go to bed and wake up early enough to sit with a cup of coffee and some quiet time.
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is to make sure that my kitchen is clean before I go to bed, and that my daughters clothes are picked out the night before. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is the best giveaway evah! Hollah! My best tip of the day is that I get up 30 minutes before my monkeys and have a cup of steaming hot coffee...it all snowballs after that. But! I can handle anything with coffee in my system :) Thanks! Marisa
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is get things ready the night before, once the baby goes to sleep. Makes my day run more smooth!
ReplyDeleteI followed the link to the spreadsheet prompt and filled it out!
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is to have everything ready the day before...and allow yourself extra time for everything.
ReplyDeleteMy father used to say, "If you aren't fifteen minutes early...you're late".
What an amazing giveaway! My tip would be to have my kids things ready the night before and have a list to take along if you have things to get done. I have "mommy brain" in stores without a list :)
ReplyDeleteMarci thepetersfamily3@aol.com
wait - it's possible to have your day run smoothly? wow... i am totally doing something wrong... hahahha. actually, it helps to already have somewhat of a gameplan in mind when i start the day, but flexibility is what really makes it work. plus, a fresh pot of coffee waiting for me when i wake up doesn't hurt either Ü
ReplyDeletekristinmik at gmail dot com
My day runs most smoothly when I keep a running to-do list and cross things off as I accomplish them!
ReplyDeleteI check out your blog often, but I don't usually leave comments. I had to tell that our boys (ages 9, 7 and 4) LOVE Little House on the Prairie and Leave It To Beaver. Can't go wrong with the classics!
ReplyDeleteThe thing that makes my day run smoothly is not going back to bed when my husband leaves for work at 5:30 am. If I get up, make his breakfast and pack lunch for hubby and boys I am much more productive throughout the day. When I go back to sleep for the hour before the boys need to get up, I usually oversleep and we end up rushed and grouchy. Not worth it!
Making a daily "To-Do list" and stick to it, it's the best tip to run a smoothly day!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great give away!
Best advice: A "to-do" list. You've gotta do it! Mark the two most IMPORTANT things on your list, and get those done first! :)
ReplyDeleteThe thing that makes my day run smoothly is to be prepared the night before. I know what I'm wearing, what time my first meeting is and vague idea of what I have going on. It doesn't always work out, but it at least gives me a good start on the day. What a great giveaway! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBest Advice---Do not stress about the little stuff you don't get done because it takes you away from the present. It will get done.
ReplyDeleteLindsey@omega-ms.com
For a smooth running day nothing is better than spending the first waking moments with God! Put Him in the pilots seat and everything is smooth sailing...gotta love mixed metaphors:o)
ReplyDeleteMy day goes best when I start out with a plan!
ReplyDeleteanderson_jaime@yahoo.com
My best tip is to cuddle with your kids for a few (about 5) minutes every morning and when you get home in the evening. Do this BEFORE you start making sure they are dressed & ready for school...or before you start dinner. It sets the mood for the rest of the a.m. or p.m.. It also helps us re-connect in the evening. Everything goes more smoothly if we cuddle first!
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is to have my quiet time before I start my day. One more tip that works for me is to set the alarm for 10 minutes earlier than I really have to get up and then I get to hit snooze one time. For some reason it makes me feel like I got a little extra sleep.:-)
ReplyDeleteOne thing that helps my run day smoothly is to spend 5-10 minute preparing for it the night before. Is there something I need to take out of the freezer for dinner tomorrow? Anything special I need to pack in my bag for work? Am I going anywhere after work that I need to bring stuff for? It definitely makes my morning less stressful and I'm less likely to forget something I'll need.
ReplyDeleteI tweeted but I have no idea how to link to the individual tweet...
ReplyDeleteI have to clean the entire house before bed. If I don't then my day and mind is cluttered the entire day.
ReplyDeleteThis is sooooooooooo awesome!!!
ReplyDeletemoorekrystle@gmail.com
For me, a little quiet time in the morning works wonders to make the day go smoothly.
ReplyDeleteMine is making a list. I get so much more accomplished if I write what I want/need to do.
ReplyDeleteI guess to help the day run smoothly, I try to finish my most dreaded task first. Try being the key word.
ReplyDeleteI do all my major chores on Sunday so that I don't have to do any major cleaning, shopping, etc. during the week.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely need to make lists!
ReplyDeleteWow, as we speak my laptop keeps sporadically turning itself off...and I can't get into anything without major slowness :) I could use a new laptop. Anyhow the best thing I can do to make my day run smoothly is to get up a little earlier (although sleeping in is so nice) pray and eat breakfast right away. Seem like I get so much more accomplished when I start out like that!
ReplyDeleteI find that if I get up before the kids and get showered and ready for the day it only takes 1/2 the time if they are up. The day always seems to run smoooother!
ReplyDeleteAs a working mom, my best tip - get everything ready the night before - milk in sippy cups with vitamins, set up breakfast bowls, etc. I'm still learning other good time management skills - like meal planning.
ReplyDeleteI try to find time to myself every day whether its a quick run to sonic or just a walk around campus. Time to myself allows me to slow down and just breathe.
ReplyDeletekthornto@harding.edu
I get up before everyone else in my family so that I have some quiet time to myself. The day always goes so much better when I make the time to do that.
ReplyDeleteIf I take 5 minutes in the morning to plan my day, I get so much more accomplished.
ReplyDeleteI live by my task list... doesn't mean it all gets done, but helps me to prioritize. I LOVE my lists. Feeling in control is possible!
ReplyDeleteMy day goes smoother when I get up and showered before my kiddos wake up! Then I don't have to figure out how to occupy them while I get ready!
ReplyDeleteMy day goes smoothly if when I get up in the morning I DON'T grab my coffee and sit and watch the news. Also, making lists for my errands helps tremendously as well.
ReplyDeleteso cool! my day always starts better when i get up early and get ready before my sweet energetic baby gets up! he's easier to catch if i'm already ready!
ReplyDeleteLindsey
I've been a list maker since I was in high school (a looooong time ago), and still swear by my lists, whether it is for work or home. Being able to see what I have on my plate for the day makes everything go smoother, keeps me from last minute running around or missing important events and deadlines.
ReplyDeleteI love getting up before the kids but now that I have a newborn again that is not always happening. I feel like my house is clean when my dishes are done and my bed is made so I usually start with those two things and from there who knows where the day will take me. :)
ReplyDeleteMy day always goes smoother when I plan it out the night before I go to bed. I make a small approachable list (five items max) and do any prep work like lunches, clothes, gather supplies, etc. before hand. Anything done after the five items is a bonus!
ReplyDeleteHmm, my best tip for helping my day run smoothly is to prepare as much beforehand as possible. My kids pick out their clothes, get their backpacks ready to go, and do as much as they can the night before so that mornings run a lot smoother. That makes my whole day start off right! :)
ReplyDeleteMy day runs smoother when I start dinner in the morning. I don't necessarily have to have it finished but I definitely do the all of the prep work.
ReplyDeleteMy day runs so much more smoothly when i get up 1 hour before my kiddo to read the bible. i have more patience throughout the day and am an overall better mom and wife. (and a faster laptop would TOTALLY help) :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great Christmas gift!
ReplyDeleteMy tip is to run the dishwasher at night and empty in the morning and always make your bed in the morning. Half of the battle is over if the dishes are done and bed is made!
ReplyDeleteaccoupons at gmail dot com
My biggest tip is to get up and get ready for the day. This means get up, get dressed and fix your face and hair. I know this sounds silly, but it so easy to sit around and take it easy when you're in your robe.
ReplyDeleteStay organized by creating a routine and attempting to stick to it. Pray in the morning. Follow a list. Use an agenda.
ReplyDeleteI NEED THIS LAPPYTOP in my LIIIIFE!
I plan the night before..
ReplyDeletebut on the day of the event..
I get up, get showered, dressed and follow through.
a bite of something more than just coffee in your tummy does wonders!
and SMILE as you follow your best laid plans!
Sunday evening each school age child fills a day of the week hanging shelf organizer with a school outfit for each day. Everyone knows what they will wear each day and saves the time that would be otherwise spent on arguing about clothes, searching for socks, trying to match an outfit, etc etc. Starts the day quietly and smoothly, comparatively.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is my best tip for a good day! Having breakfast with my husband helps too ... that little bit of time together helps us get going on the same page.
ReplyDeleteLists & routines! I make a weekly list Monday morning and I have a weekly cleaning schedule... helps with the sanity.
ReplyDeleteIt's not anything super innovative, but making my lunch at night before going to bed always saves me a lot of time in the morning!
ReplyDeleteMaking a list before I go to the grocery store of what I have and what I need saves me lots of time and money while shopping, and I make schedules and set weekly goals of what I want to accomplish for the week!
ReplyDeleteMy best advice for making the day run smoothly is to make a list of the priorities that need to be done. At the end of day sometimes it looks as if I have accomplished nothing, but when I look at my list and everything is crossed off I feel like I accomplished a lot!
ReplyDeletebest advice to make the day run smoothly: get up an hour before anyone else in my house!!
ReplyDeleteMy best advice is to never go to bed w/ a messy/dirty kitchen. You will thank me in the morning :)
ReplyDeleteMy day starts the night before. I review what is happening the next day. I plan out the day. That morning I eat a good breakfast and get started. You usually do not get everything done. You should learn to take pleasure in your accomplishments and begin the plan for tomorrow. Enjoy each day.Ginger
ReplyDeletemy best tip for having a day run smoothly is
ReplyDeletealways go to bed with a shinny pristine clean sink, i have been following the fly lady for 2 years now and let me tell ya waking up to a clean sink every morning , makes you feel like you can accomplish anything in the whole wide world
have a pink rainbow day
georgia stewart
Now this is a crazy-good giveaway! My day usually goes more smoothly when I sleep in as much as possible...But lately we've been waking up early to read scriptures as a family, and that works, too :)
ReplyDeleteKeep a big calendar by your phone & make at least a weekly meal plan.
ReplyDeleteC O F F E E! okay okay.. duh right? at night I make sure the kitchen is clean so I wake up happy and the rest falls into place. Usually.
ReplyDeleteMy best tip for making my day run smoothly would be drink a giant cup of coffee first thing. Without that, it doesn't run at all. ;)
ReplyDeleteMy best tip for helping the day to run smoothly is to stay present in the present.
ReplyDeleteI find when I get too caught up in later, or tomorrow and so on....that the here and now gets muddled.
That, and to breathe.
Thank you.
http://twitter.com/#!/won2x/status/6860629637857280
ReplyDeleteMy advice is if something needs done, and you walk past it, you're only asking someone else to do it for you or you just have to do it later. Do it now and you'll be on pace for more accomplishments in a day rather than a massive to-do list tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS ONE FANTASTIC GIVEAWAY!
I really enjoy reading your blog! Anyway, I find I have a better, organized day if the house is tidy and the dishes are done before I go to bed. I know this is a simple, obvious suggestion, but it is what helps me the most. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteKrista
P.S. My computer is really having some issues, so I would love to win ... I can't even sign into my blog ... so my email is: krista_ruth@yahoo.com
Thanks for the opportunity! My day runs smoother if I decide ahead of time what to wear and fix my lunch the night before. If not, it seems like I just take FOREVER to decide what to wear in the mornings and that puts me behind and gets me in a bad mood.
ReplyDeleteMy day goes more smoothly when I plan it out in 30 minute increments.
ReplyDeleteresponse to giveaway prompt at blogher...
ReplyDeleteI would love a laptop just for editing photos on the go!

ReplyDeleteMy day runs more smoothly when I take some time for myself in the mornings. As long as I am up before the kids, I can do amazing things!
ReplyDeleteBest planning tip - know what you're making for dinner and make sure you have everything you need to make it!
ReplyDeleteWith 2 children my best way to make the day start smoothly is getting their clothes ready for the day the night before!
ReplyDeleteStarting my day with a Prayer doesn't always make the day run smoothly, but it does give me the strength and patience to deal with whatever type of day i'm having.
ReplyDeleteSherri
A quiet morning where I'm up before everyone else in the house is my key to a good morning! :)
ReplyDeleteMy best tip to helping my day run smoothly... praying first thing in the morning.
ReplyDeleteTo make my days run smoother I have given my children more independence - for example I put up hooks for them to hang their own coats, I have them empty their own bags from school and put their bags in the closet. As a working mom these little things allow me more time in the afternoons to enjoy my family instead of rushing around.
ReplyDeleteI complete options d. Thanks! Oh and by the way my husband is a big Little House fan so those t.v. screen shots made me laugh out loud! :)
ReplyDeleteMy day always runs smoother if I have a clean kitchen when I wake up. I hate cleaning it late at night, but am so happy in the morning that it is clean!
ReplyDeleteWake up a few minuted before the kids, drink my coffee...and breath...the best way to start everyday
ReplyDeleteA to-do list! no doubt!
ReplyDeleteWhen I plan out all the clothes the night before, life is just easier!
ReplyDeleteWake up earlier
ReplyDeleteMake a to do list and accept the fact that I will likely not finish everything on the list!
ReplyDeletesweetasberries(at)gmail(dot)com
what an amazing give away! i would love to win:) the thing that helps my day start and run smoothly is to let my kids pick out their own clothes...they usually don't match, but it's okay. you have to choose your battles!
ReplyDeletePlanning out my week in my dayplanner always helps make sure things go smoothly!
ReplyDeleteWhat makes my day run smoothly? Ensuring that my three little boys get a nap - all at the same time if I'm lucky :) If I have an hour to myself, I'm a much happier and more loving mom. That makes for a much smoother day :)
ReplyDeleteI am lost without my daily planner! I teach music lessons from my home and need to keep track of schedule, in addition, I am an artist and there are shows and submissions to do. My planner is full of notes and reminders for the week. I keep many files on my computer too and try to keep them up to date. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteA "To Do" list!
ReplyDeleteMy smoother days begin with a positive attitude, waking up earlier than the rest of family and getting things done 1st thing. It's amazing how much I can get done in 1/2 and hour.
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing what your new laptop could do.....(I checked out your perfect lesson for Family Nite)I think that watching a Mormon Message every morning would make any day run smoother!
ReplyDeleteSetting out my clothes the night before. It's simple but I do have to start my day off making a decision.

ReplyDeleteThe best tip for making the day run smoothly, is to make a list the night before of everything that needs to be accomplished the next day. It really works!

My day runs more smoothly when I use my rememberthemilk.com list. Its a free site that has a matching iphone app. It works well with the Getting Things Done process. It also helps me with some anxiety about fitting everything in. I add stuff to my list throughout the day, but I work on things on the list each morning from 9-12.
ReplyDeleteI have my calendars on my iphone and it's linked to my email. I also set timers for things (on my iphone) for things I need to remember to do throughout the day (I think I'm getting old or something, lOL!)
ReplyDeleteWith 10 kids.... it is aLL ABOUT being organized!
ReplyDeleteMy best advice is to get your shower before 8am. Nothing wakes me up like a shower!
ReplyDeletethanks! love your blog! key is ...well im still trying to figure it out but Im finding joy in the journey!its all bout perspective
ReplyDeleteCoffee helps my day run smoothly. It would run even better if I had a new, fast laptop!
ReplyDeletePrayer makes my day go smoothly, individual & family morning prayer. (BTW, love your blog!)
ReplyDeleteVicky (vicky042009@live.com)
To help my day run smoothly, I always wake up, make the bed and throw in a load of laundry. I have already accomplished two things before I even get downstairs! Also, if I feel myself getting overwhelmed, I do my best to just slow down and pray. One of my favorite things to think about when things are getting nutty is this, "trying to solve tomorrow's problems today only steals the energy God has prearranged for you in order to enjoy today." I believe that this is from the book, "The Confident Woman" and I couldn't recommend it more! Thanks! ericarplayer@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI have to do as much as possible the night before-helps my days go so much smoother!
ReplyDeleteTo make my day run as smooth as possible I think the night before :) Like plan my ourfit, think about what Im taking for lunch etc.
ReplyDeletealisasanger@hotmail.com
I think my day runs best when I take my quiet time/bible time FIRST-- and then make a plan of everything I want to accomplish as the day progresses, for example: not staying in my p.j.'s all day!
ReplyDeleteWith 4 children (9, 4, 2 and 1) 3 boys and a baby girl, a husband and a full time job organization is the key to my time management. I prepare everything the night before on school nights, from lunches to clothing selections. I even go as far as putting the ceral or oatmeal in the boal and putting it in fridge so there is one less step. Having this computer will continue my progress of spending more quality time with my family and still have time to do the things I want to do, which include blog watching, online shopping, blogging and crafting.
ReplyDeleteMy day will run smoothly if I have made lists or planned out what I want to do that day. Usually I am so spastic and crazy I have no clue what I need to do or what I'm supposed to be doing so if I can write down all my ideas and thoughts then it helps me plan out and run my day smoothly.
ReplyDeletea) A to do list is an absolute must for me - without it, I'm lost and irritable.
ReplyDeleteMy day goes better when I know what's for dinner. I work on Mon and Tuesday so I will take out a frozen meal that I made previously, meatloaf, etc. I like something quick and easy so we can move on to homework, baths, etc. lisabracale@verizon.net
ReplyDeleteIf computer is old like mine, get up early.
ReplyDeleteMCantu1019@aol.com
My best time saving tip for me is to do laundry while I am starting breakfast. If you put a load in first thing in the morning it really saves me time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great laptop! Good for you. :) I would love a giftcard. My day runs smoothly when I'm flexible. I find that when I have afixed to-do list, I get very uptight about sticking to it. I become the mommy monster very quickly and I'm not fun to be around. On days when I'm flexible...we're all much happier.
ReplyDeleteI believe in lists!
ReplyDeleteHmm... following my FLYlady routine and drinking lots of tea is what helps my day go smoothly! :)
ReplyDeleteI try to keep on track and not get too distracted and finish one task before starting another.
ReplyDeleteI keep track by remembering to count my blessings and meditating each day.
ReplyDeleteBest tip is a list...each day of what I need to get done. I have a problem staying focused each day so a list helps me a lot. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteGoogle calendar is my favorite productivity tool (that helps my day run more smoothly). I read recently on the Life Hacker blog (I think that's the one) to not put a reminder on a date as an "all day" event but instead with a time so you fit it in and are reminded during the day at a certain time (more easily/specifically) and that has been a huge help. I also love the Google calendar's pop-up reminders. :)
ReplyDeleteI filled out the Blogher form. I wasn't certain what was meant by sweepstakes prompt response, so I shared what I had written in response above in my other comment on this post. Hope that was the right thing to do. :P
ReplyDeleteDefinitely have a plan for dinner in the morning! Don't wait until the kids are cranky and want dinner asap! Dinner always tastes better when you put a little love into it earlier in the day.
ReplyDeleteI always have a breakfast menu set up for the school week which helps the morning go smoothly and once kids are in bed I plan out the day and go online
