Oh, I so needed a little crafty creative fix with all this healthy stuff and working on the master bathroom. This was just the thing.
These cute little heart clips were $1 in the Target dollar spot.
I printed out BE MINE (since there were six clips, a six letter phrase was perfect) in Ecuyer DAX font (free!) onto white cardstock. I think it was about size 200 font. I ripped apart a clear scrapbook page cover (ahem..since I don’t scrapbook anymore) and cut it into a triangle to fit over the letters and traced.
Amanda from Red Barn Candle Company shared how she uses $2 Walmart yarn for wannabe bakers twine in our favorite things party in December and I totally copied her!!
$1 for the clips, $2.xx for the yarn, and can I say the paper and ink are free since I already had them? Please?
We’re planning on filling the bottom part with hearts that
say what you love about each member of the family (we got the idea from Shawni and did it last year)
Too cute! Love this project & love that yarn! Totally looks like bakers twine!
ReplyDeleteCuteness! I'm copying! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my! First of all, super cute idea. LOVE how you hung it on the chalkboard. Second of all, thank you for giving "credit" back to me for my wal mart yarn {look alike bakers twine} discovery. :) I am extremely thankful for the exposure to my little blog! :) Take care pretty lady and thanks again.

Love it! Thanks for the heads up on the Walmart yarn. I missed that in Dec so I'm glad to know that trick.
ReplyDeleteThank you also for showing us a basic banner without aid from a Silhouette or any other fancy smancy machine. :)
I love the Weston mirror too!
ReplyDeleteKirkland's !!! My favorite place to spend some time dreaming creatively. The Emily circles mirror would be SO perfect. I just completed an abstract painting of circles and seem to be on a circle jag. Walking around my house I can find five places, maybe more, that the Emily circle mirror would be great.
ReplyDeleteI love it and I can't get enough of that font!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute and quick. Love those kinds of projects.
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, CUTE!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteSoooo cute and I am sooooo copying your idea! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCute! Love the font so I downloaded it. Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I never comment on posts (I read so many blogs it'd take the rest of my life ;) ) but I love this! :] Such a creative way to make a cute & cheap project! I love reading your blog! Thank you for not switching it over from Google Reader!
