Here is a quick, fun art idea that I used in the boys’ room.

I have had this halloween slate craft thing forever in my “boys’ room bin” It was 90% at hobby lobby for 79 cents:

I also dug out this cool big chief tablet (do any of you remember these??) from a yard sale so I took the scary trick or treat fabric off and mod podged a piece of the school paper onto the slate:

I ordered some bottle caps from this nice seller on etsy, just hot glued them on and bam! we have a fun, nostalgic piece to hang above one of the orange dressers.

Definitely under $10, under 1 hour! (if you have a scary-90% off- slate -gingham- trick or treat -curlz font-craft -from hobby lobby to begin with)
