favorite parade of homes house 2021 * custom home ideas

15 September 2021

Hello! I usually choose a favorite home from the Utah Valley Parade of Homes to feature. This one was called the Thatchill by RC Dent Construction and Remedy Design and inviting, warm and beautiful without being crazy over the top like some others we walked through.  The exterior is painted Sherwin Williams Natural Choice and the dark accent color is a custom blend color.

Here is a snapshot of the floor plan from the booklet. It has 5,250 square feet and estimated $1 = 1.5 million cost and is located in Utah County, Utah.

This beautiful vaulted great room was the first thing upon entry! I love the simplicity of the mantel, the beautiful washed rock and the windows! The wall color is Farrow and Ball Shadow White at 50% and the trim is Shadow White.

Notice the thinner planks of wood on the flooring:

The kitchen cabinets are Farrow and Ball Drop Cloth

The backplash was a painted brick:

And then behind the kitchen is the prep pantry and it was to die for. Let's be honest, no one's pantry looks like this in real life but it was fun to see the styling!

The dining room with traditional drapes but look at the modern touches with the buffet and lights:

The firepit on the back patio had a gorgeous view:

Down the hall was the mudroom with the cabinets painted in Benjamin Moore dark olive ♥

And then that laundry room with cabinets painted Salt Creek by Portola Paints. Such gorgeous paint colors!!

The office featured a brick wall and beautiful full length windows. And that door ♥

And then let's step into the master! So serence and peaceful.

The master bath:

That black cabinet is Sherwin Williams Caviar

Master closet:

Let's head downstairs in this gorgeous stairway! I've been seeing a lot of more modern metal railings but I'm still a sucker for a traditional wood:

The accent wall in the basement family room is painted in Sherwin Williams Urbane Bronze:

The flooring upstairs was a solid hardwood but in the basement they used a luxury vinyl plank called Happy Feet Quick Fit in Beachwood:

The exercise room was behind the family room:

Let's take the hallway down to the other end -- notice the ceiling details!

This bathroom cabinet was painted Cacoon by Sherwin Williams

It had 2 basement bedrooms:

And the cutest bunkroom!

The basement laundry cabinets were painted Beverly by Portola Paints. I love the black hex floor!

The double vanity painted Farrow and Ball Lamp Room Gray:

Check out the hex tile floor and the mini subway tiles:

Thank you for coming with me through this beautiful home! If you want more -- here is another home tour I featured from Remedy Design was this Modern Coastal Farmhouse

AND!! I am doing Every Day September again -- even though we are halfway through September! It will go into October as well but I feel like I have little posts that I've saved up that maybe don't feel worthy of a blog post normally but fit in the every day category? Kind of what blogging used to be. So I will see you here every day for the next month!
