    07 July 2010

I found this beadboard cabinet door at a Restore for $2.50. I wasn’t sure what I would use it for, so I left it. Then, I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I went back and thankfully it was there. I have learned that if I keep thinking about something, it’s a sign that I will totally kick myself later if I don’t go get it right away.

    goodwill frame = playroom art

    06 July 2010

I found this framed print at the Goodwill for $3.99. I loved the big, white mat and simple frame and knew the shoe could be switched out for anything, so I snatched it up. Inexpensive framed prints can be re-purposed anywhere in your house. Keep your eyes open!

    Independence Day

    04 July 2010

I sought for the key to the greatness and genius of America in her harbors...; in her fertile fields and boundless forests; in her rich mines and vast world commerce; in her public school system and institutions of learning. I sought for it in her democratic Congress and in her matchless Constitution.

Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits flame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power.

America is great because America is good,

and if America ever ceases to be good,

America will cease to be great.

    ~Alexis de Tocqueville
