Our garage door windows probably hadn't been washed in 10 years~honestly. The pictures really don't show the cloudy, hazy, filmy, built up mess.
I have slowly been trying to update my girls' room. I painted the walls Sherwin Williams Ivoire to compliment the yellow and green in the antique furniture. I took all of your advice and didn't paint it and decided to work with it.
We got rid of the bunkbed and remember the trundle daybed I found at a yard sale?

I joined Melissa @ The Inspired Room for her last Project Procrastination and loved it. Okay, well I didn't love it during, because in true procrastinator fashion I was sweating bullets to finish at the end, but when it was finished I loved having my projects done and having a deadline.
I got lots of comments on the pumpkins on top of my piano~I wish I could say I made them, but they were from Target fall clearance last year. But it did get me thinking...how hard would they be to make?
I am not much of a "fryer." I think I have maybe fried something in oil once, maybe twice in my life??? I don't like the way it makes the house and clothes smell and it just seems like a lot of work. And I always laugh when I think of the line from Sweet Home Alabama when Candice Bergen tells Reese Witherspoon's mom "why don't you go back to your double wide and fry something" and then gets punched out. Oh, that makes me want to watch that now.
I loved Angie@The Happy Homebody's framed pear project and thought how clever it would be with a pumpkin for fall instead.
So clever and original, Melissa!
But guess who is already two steps in front of me?
Angie.
Turns out that if you can come up with a framed pear, you can make a pumpkin look even cuter. So much for originality, but here goes my version :)
Start with a pumpkin from the Dollar Tree, and a knife (a bit morbid looking, isn't it??
