No words, just a simple reminder of what Christmas should be all about:
Yayyyyyy--we get to welcome Chris to 320 Sycamore today! Chris blogs over at Just a Girl~she’s a mom, a teacher,
I love her natural mantel:
and her console table project:
Ummmm….did you see her boy’s room in Better Homes and Gardens??
If you don’t know her already, you’re gonna love her! Welcome, Chris!
See you down in the comments~

Don’t laugh at my chalkboard lettering..I’m working on it! There is something relaxing about coloring on a chalkboard though…
This year I just used a fresh $5 black friday cedar garland from Home Depot (cut in half), some mercury lights from Target clearance last year, a jingle bell wreath from a couple of years ago, some pinecones, and a piece of chalk for my chalkboard that used to be a thriftstore painting.
Tomorrow we will have another blogger sharing Favorite Things (you’ll love her too!) and don’t forget our favorite things party on 12.12.12:

I am so excited to kick of this year’s Favorite Things with some of my favorite bloggers. Have you marked 12.12.12 on your calendar so you can share your favorite things with us??
Diane from In My Own Style is here today to kick it off! I had the privilege of meeting Diane at Haven in June
and she was every bit as wonderful as I thought she would be~Kristin and I loved hanging out with her. Let me share a few of my favorites from her blog:
Here is the link to print it out, if you would like. Merry Christmas!
You know that one of our favorite Christmas traditions is our countdown to Christmas with books. One of the most frequently asked questions is how many books do you have?? and, which are your favorites? I’ve made a list of 20 of my favorites for you today and I’ll include the links to them on Amazon, but some other great resources are the library (so you can see if you love them before you buy!), thrift stores, ebay, half.com, used books on Amazon, etc.
20. Santa Mouse by Michael Brown: this is harder to find these days because it’s an older book. My kids love it~a short, sweet story about a mouse helps Santa out. And now we leave out cheese with our cookies for Santa.
19. The Christmas Alphabet
by Robert Sabuda : this is a gorgeous pop-up book, but the paper tears easily, so it’s a read-with-a-grown-up-book that doesn’t go in the book basket with the others.
