I couldn't resist scheduling my post for 11:11 a.m. on 11/11 :)
I've seen topiaries like these and have loved the simplicity of them:
This is from a Parade of Homes picture my mom took of a little storage nook, but I was kind of drawn to that little topiary. Ready to copy?
I gathered my leftovers from the first topiary, taped the sprigs and a stick together with some florist tape, then spray painted the stick with an espresso color.
Put some
real potting soil (do you think I'll fool anyone??) in my little weathered pot, stuck it in and packed the soil tight around it, floof it out a bit, and I'm finished!

Actually, I switched things around a bit. I put this one by the computer because it's smaller

And the larger one in a corner in our bedroom. It basically didn't cost me anything, because it was all leftovers. What do you think? Do you have a preference of the two styles?
You did a great job! I really do need to get some.
ReplyDeleteLove your topiary. Beautiful. You did a great job. I may have to find some pots/sticks and greenery and give it a try myself.
ReplyDeleteSo cute, Melissa! I love the little one - it looks so delicate.
ReplyDeleteThey are both so cute, but I think I like the one you just made better.
ReplyDeleteLOVE it!!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job! They both look awesome
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I love them both! I think I like the little one because it is a little more wild looking, but I love how the first one turned out too. Such a great copy from Ballard!

They both turned out cute - I think I like the clean round shape of the first one. Target had some topiaries similar to this but covered with cranberries that I am going to try and copy for Christmas deco.
ReplyDeleteI love them both...way to go lady!
ReplyDeleteBoth are super cute. The non-circular topiary is a break from the typical mold - I like it. :)
ReplyDeleteI ♥ them both!

I like the fluffy one! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a hard one -lucky you you get both. I like the wild one. I have one like it next to my kitchen sink. It's supposed to look like rosemary.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your topiary ideas! I always wanted to make some, but didn't know quite how to go about it. Thanks for showing!
ReplyDeleteThey are both so cute! I think I might try to copy the first one you did :) Thank you so much for your step-by-step instructions!!
