Don’t you want to eat it? Doesn’t it look like it’s made of peep marshmallow hearts? :) Well, we think it does, that’s why it needs to be kept up high in this house.
It couldn’t be easier. You can find these pink glitter heart picks at the dollar tree. Get the large ones and small ones. I think I used about 3 pkgs of each. Yank the hearts off, hot glue them to a grapevine wreath (also at the dollar store) and that’s it.
We also found a bunch of lovely tulips on clearance at Kroger~how could we resist? Opera voice: spriiiinnnngggg!
Oh wait, it’s still January. They are in an ironstone pitcher from my husband’s grandmother~his aunt sent us a bunch of her old pieces and it was the best package ever. (thank you, Aunt Cyndi!) The tray is an after Christmas Target score:
Our chalkboard is pretty much the same as last year: the quickie banner, and then there are hearts with what we love about each person (we did these last year for Valentines, but I kept them because I loved them so much)
Lots of pink going on around here! Happy Wednesday~
This is so funny because I saw the same things and was wondering what to do with them! This looks great. Great job
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog via Pinterest - I love it! I'm a stay at home mom, too, slowly redoing our house in all my "spare" time. Thanks for sharing all your great ideas! Your house is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMelissa, I really like your wreath...and so simple! Also I love your flowers...I heard that if you put a penny in the water they will stay up right.
ReplyDeleteThose hearts really do look like marshmallows!! And I love the tulips, perfect for brightening up January!

I puffy pink heart you, Melissa! Your wreath is so cute--and I don't even like pink! (Well, I don't really DISlike pink, but a house full of boys and redheads just doesn't lead me to be much of a lover of pink.)
ReplyDeleteBut your wreath? It's darling! And your pitcher of tulips is just wonderful. I love the way tulips look like they're just casually hanging out in a pitcher or vase--know what I mean? :)

ReplyDeletePerfect Valentine wreath! I love the pitcher- and I really love hand-me-downs! It's all the history attached to them, real and imagined!
ReplyDeleteSo cute Melissa! Saw those at dollar tree too and they make a perfect wreath. Hope you're having a good day and that everyone is better!
