First of all, the giveaway below continues until Sunday~thanks for all of your kind words and links on your blogs.
I was going to say cheap gift giving, but creative sounds much better, don't you think? And no, it's not re-gifting, I promise.
I'm always on the lookout for nice, thick frames at yard sales. This is from my treasure hunt last weekend...It's a gold frame with a scripture in it that I got for 50 cents.
First of all, thank you so much for the response so far with the blog warming and giveaway~I'm completely overwhelmed~it has been so much fun! How about if we take entries through the weekend and I'll draw first thing on Monday morning. If you haven't entered, you have until Sunday night..now on to a deal!

Office Depot has the 12 pk of retractable Sharpies on sale this week in their stores for $3.99 as part of their 22nd Anniversary Sale. This is an amazing price as they are regularly $19.99. We gave these to teachers last year for Christmas gifts with "thanks for being such a sharp teacher" or something along those lines. They loved them. And who doesn't love writing notes and special messages with a bright green apple Sharpie? Just thinking ahead for the holidays...

Welcome to my new blog! We're keeping the old address as our family blog and taking it private. So, I've transferred all of my "home" stuff over here, so please update your bookmarks. I have my first giveaway also! Here is what is included in my autumn/halloween theme giveaway:
* the famous 3 opening frame with an autumn theme~this time I used "autumn" with the little white pumpkins. It also comes with a little black wire stand.
I'll post my yard sale treasures from this weekend a little later, but here is one of them. This pair of roosters were 25 cents because they were chipped and one had been glued back together. I think they look kind of mean too~look at those eyes! Yikes!
But, we're looking at *potential* here, so minus a quarter later, I brought them home with me to see what we could do. Doesn't everyone need a rooster in their kitchen somewhere?

First of all, if you don't have a CVS, let me take a moment to mourn for you
(.....)
You don't have to read any further. I think I will have withdrawals if we move somewhere that doesn't have one.
If you do have a CVS, mine had all of their croc-type shoes 90% off, so the kids ones were 79 cents and the adults were 99 cents. I stocked up on every size for boys from baby on up to 8 yrs old. I'm going to have 3 little boys, and my boys live in these for most of the year here, so I went to town! My little boy had a pair from CVS this summer and they have held up so well. They are called "Doggers" and are the best pair of non-brand name crocs we have found. They are antibacterial and odor resistant too. Like I need to be selling you on them, they are 79 pennies! :)
Look how sweet and tiny...
You may want to call first so that you don't waste precious gas driving all around. One of my stores was only 75% off , and the other was 90%. You may also want to be on the lookout for Hannah Montana and High School Musical school stuff~that was also 90% off. Good luck!
Last night, I was reading some books with the kids. My 6 year old daughter left and I didn't think much of it. She was calling from the kitchen table, "how do you spell 'could?' I was telling her how to spell it, she couldn't hear me, so of course each time got louder and more agitated.
C-O-U-L-D!
Then, later we were yelling, er, calling everyone to come in for family prayer, and she said, "just a minute!" and of course we said, "no, you need to come right now!!" Well, later on, I was cleaning up and found this at the kitchen table with her markers:
Gulp. She didn't even finish. And she was already asleep. I just wanted to cry. I get guilty mom of the day award. Don't you just wish you could push the rewind button somedays, and then re-record??
