Cute door alert! (can doors be cute? I think so.) Many Lowes stores are clearancing these doors out because they are not going to carry them in store any longer: At our store, they were less expensive than the standard six panel doors~about $54, depending on the size. I was beyond thrilled! We were short one door at our store so we had them call some others in the area and we found the last one we needed for the basement.
They are called Relia Bilt 2 panel doors, and the item numbers we got are: 244862, 244857, 244858, and 244858. You can call ahead with the item numbers to see if they have any in stock.
AND!
are these not the cutest oven mitts you’ve ever seen? $1.99 each at Target. In my store they were between the towels and sheets near the tablecloths.
They make you want to bake or something :) I went back to get some for gifts, but they were out. The guy said they should be getting more in…
AND one last thing: our very important favorite Easter Candy poll! Here are the results:

Happy Tuesday~
We had a beautiful Easter weekend..I cannot get over how gorgeous spring is in Virginia. But I think we deserve this perfect weather after our crazy winter…don’t you?
Like me, you may have lots to do today coming off of a holiday weekend.
{sigh} But what if you left the dirty dishes…

I wanted to put 3 chrome sconces in our bathroom downstairs, but for some reason, chrome seems to be triple the price of brushed nickel or oil rubbed bronze. Soooo, I think, why not just spray paint them, Melissa? I bought this one for $14.99 at the Home Depot ( I actually bought 3, since I was sure they would turn out fabulous)
and spray painted them with spray chrome from the auto section like I had seen Lisa LaPorta do on Designed to Sell once. Sometimes I wonder why they don’t show more close-ups on that show. Hmmm…
Lindsay is hosting her $5 dollar challenge and how could I not participate? You know I love finding the possibilities lurking at the dollar store! Here’s what I came back from the Dollar Tree with:
a bird:
an unfinished 11X17 frame with 3 openings:
is just as important as what you do. I truly believe this. There are so many good things in life to choose from. It’s hard choosing the best things for ourselves and our families, but as we all know, something’s gotta give. The perfect woman who does everything doesn’t exist. And if she did, she just wouldn’t be very much fun. I’m convinced of that. One of my very favorite Simple Mom posts of all time is The Great Myth. Go read it. There is also a wonderful discussion over at Angie’s. I told her I would respond in a post that I’ve been meaning to write forever. So here we go~
In Tsh fashion, I’m sharing some things I don’t do to make room for the things I’d rather do:
I don’t sew. I wish I did. Someday I want to, but right now, my glue gun and hemming tape are best friends.
I don’t scrapbook. I used to, but I didn’t love it. Now, I just load my family pictures to our family blog and call it good. The plan is to publish the blog into a book every few years. But I’m really behind with that too, so we’ll see. :)
Ironing? What’s that? I threw out any shirt of my husband’s that didn’t look great after a few minutes in the dryer with a wet cloth.
The PTA hates me. I know I’m on their black list. I haven’t signed up to help with anything for the past year.
