I saw this wreath at Williams Sonoma, and thought it was lovely. But for $100? Not so lovely. You know what’s coming next, don’t you??
I am excited to introduce you to our next project: the front entryway!
2. Move my $5 light fixture into the hallway~I’m thinking something a bit more grand… check~yay! (see here)

Happy Labor Day!
I think I’ve mentioned before that we only do birthday parties with friends on odd birthdays to help keep mommy sane. This was LAST year, but here are the pics I never posted. I do not go all out, but we try to make it fun~Logan wanted a space party:
This is what greeted us when we came in our back entryway:
Look at that crazy mess of cords and wires! We had our computer big main box (what in the heck is it called?) to the left of the desk, but it was near a vent, so we needed to move it. We had the idea of drilling a hole in the countertop (it’s laminate~if you have a drill, you can buy the attachment to make the hole at any hardware or home improvement store for around $7-$8)
I had a little itch to switch some things around this weekend…
We (well, my husband) moved my $5 light fixture to the hallway. I still love it, but wanted something a little more substantial for the entryway.
the Valspar metallic clearance spray paint I used here (do you ever start spray painting and remember that you forgot to take a picture??)
