valentine wreath + front porch

10 February 2015

Hello! So, Valentine’s Day is this Saturday and I just barely put heart decor out this weekend! That’s okay, I’m just happy that it even happened. I have the landmark decision to just decorate my porch for holidays like Halloween, Valentines, 4th of July -- it makes it much more do-able for me and is still fun. Here is what I came up with for a wreath:

I just used some burlap-ish ribbon from a local décor store and one of those metal wreath forms and just wove it through. The ribbon was normally $12.97 for a roll, but the edges had a satin trim and it was coming unraveled so it was 75% off. I just unraveled the rest of the edges and actually like the way it looked. The wooden valentine and hearts are from the Target dollar ($3) spot. Super easy and super quick!

The rest of the décor is from previous years, the free printable (using this method) I used to do the chalkboard is from Yellow Bliss Road.

The pillows were just a 2 pack from Ross for 17.99 and I thought they would be great for Christmas, 4th of July too.

  1. Love the porch! By the way, what color is your front door? It's gorgeous.

  3. Melissa, I have been trying to use this color swatch service this morning to convert some paint colors I've found as we prep to paint our home. I don't know if things have changed on this website since March or if I'm doing something wrong. Could you let me know? Thanks!
