Hello! I realized we haven't shared a spring/Easter porch lately so let's take care of that today! Here is the video on Instagram if you would like to see how speedy I am! Haha I love time lapse. Truth is that it does take a long time to bring out what you have, search for what you want to bring in, etc. And then the time it takes to return the items that didn't work out. Here are the winners that made the front porch cut though:
* the artificial tulips these days are incredible! Here are the white ones I ordered (just fyi -this was a few years ago and they do tend to yellow but I actually like the cream with the white pitcher) and the prettiest shade of pink tulips |
* all of these are oldies but goodies. You don't need to buy everything new every year. I love pulling out the decor that has been with me since the beginning. |
* you cand find these adorable bunnies in the dollar spot at Target and they are only $1!! Truly remarkable when even the Dollar Store has raised prices to $1.25 If you can't find them at your store these were the closest thing I could find online. |
* "vintage" 😉 (like 4 years ago) Studio McGee spring arrangements |
* these wooden eggs were also in the dollar spot - $3 for 6 I believe. |
* this Studio McGee pink pillow is also so good - another addition for this year. |
* this is an older Hearth & Hand wreath that I just tucked some pink seed stems into. Here is a similar one! |
* this green/white plaid rug will be perfect for spring/summer. Another Studio McGee find ♥ |
* simple pink pillow covers with an older bunny pillow |
* the palm arrangements are on sale and are perfect for Easter! The bunny cupcake/candle stands are from Pottery Barn years ago but I have seen some knock-offs lately. I usually purchase prints from Etsy, print them out on to transparencies and then use my trusty overhead projector and chalkboard. Here is the tomb print and then the He is Risen lettered print. The weather was beautiful and it felt like spring today but then the forecast calls for 5-8 inches of SNOW this weekend??! It must be spring. Thanks for stopping by. ♥ |
Hello!! Happy First Day of Fall! I was so ready to get Halloween out this year - maybe because of the heat we had at the beginning of September I was just over it and ready to move straight to fall. I shared the time-lapse video of taking down the summer porch and putting up Halloween here on Instagram. And then a more detailed video of the Halloween porch is here on Instagram. I'll share the links to the items I have - some are referral links (meaning I'll get a small amount if you happen to purchase something and some are not.
Okay, these are the cutest pumpkins at Walmart this year -- I should have looked for more. They are only in-store and mine were in the fall decor section and around $5. |
This fall wreath I have had for a long time from a local store in Utah called Rod Works. |
* the plaid Studio McGee rug is still a favorite layer rug if you can find one |
Still a favorite! The Halloween radio that Target carried years ago. I love this one because it's just fun and not gory or scary. I made a little youtube video here to show what it does. You can still find one on Ebay if you search "ghoul radio" |
* the spider pillow was a favorite find this year!! I love the stitching on this one. Well worth the $20 |
The Wheel of Fate has become a tradition now! I honestly can't believe it's still $19.99, even with inflation! We have an orange bucket and black bucket full of goodies so when trick or treaters come we have them spin the wheel and they get to choose a treat out of the color they spin. It's been so much fun and great to bring to a trunk or treat too. |
I adore these metal Halloween houses at Target this year found here, and the haunted mansion here, and then the metal townhouse is here. |
* the $3.99 bats from last weeks CME + Deals were perfect! |
* the vintage Halloween phone is a favorite of the kids to pick up and see if they can handle the spooky voices that it rotates through. |
* these water globe candle holders from Bath and Body works are a favorite find with my Mom. They light up like a crystal ball and the bats are flying around inside. So, so cool but are now going for well over $100 on Ebay. |
Thanks for stopping by!! Happy Halloween/fall decorating!
It was time to take Christmas down and put up some Valentine love! You can see the video on Instagram of the whole process but here is some porch inspiration:
I love a classic magnolia or green wreath to switch ribbons or embellishments out with the season. |
* the heart pillows were a favorite find from TJ Maxx this year! If you see them in stock, grab them. This one and and then this one are adorable online choices though. |
I may switch out the WELCOME mat with this LOVE one from Target (since there isn't enough love already on the porch LOL) 😍 Thanks for stopping by! |
Hello and happy summer! I tried to get to get some patriotic spirit around here -- it's been SO HOT. Like record breaking but I think most of you are facing the same thing.
I also have to tell you that Michael's had the cutest patriotic decor this season! You may want to go check it out -- I'll link them if I can but if they say they are gone, check your store. Mine said they were out of stock but they still had some.

I hung these flag buntings under my windows with command hooks and they kept blowing off and so my friend Lydia had a genius idea to use sticky tack at the top of each hook and it totally worked and they have stayed in place! I love smart neighbors. |

* Target has the cutest set for summer if you can find them in your store!! The bottom red/white check is here and the blue stars hello one is here |
And just some pillows from previous years:

Ready for summer celebrating! Thanks for stopping by!!
You bet I made the bat wreath! (I talked about it here) It took 2 minutes with the clip on bats!
It ended up on the front porch but you can't see it too well with the rocks. We just got an At Home store near us and I found these big lanterns for around $20 each. (you have to go in-store for these, they don't sell online) Lanterns are pricey these days so I was thrilled to find these.
You remember the Halloween radio from last year? They don't sell them anymore at Target so keep your eyes open for them at other stores. My very favorite bat is the far left one made by my youngest when he was in Kindergarten. ♥ The rest you will probably recognize from previous years.

Do you recognize the Happy Halloween pillow from my out & about?? These buffalo check pillow covers are wonderful and are only $11 for a pack of 2
Thanks for coming by!
Hello! I switched up the porch this year – usually we go with the traditional red but I figured there was enough red inside so we went with green, black, and white. Just as I began taking pictures it started snowing!
I got this door at a Habitat for Humanity store when we first moved here. I painted it red and white and have used it on every Christmas porch since! I flipped it over and used the wood side. I did have to sand the edges because I was not very careful with the red paint. Chalkboard paint did the trick on the section with a simple nativity outline in chalk and the two prints are from an Etsy shop – you can find the For Unto Us print here and His name shall be called print here
I always use the frosted globe lights on the tree – I have always gotten them at Target but I think they only sell the LED’s now. But it looks like you can still buy them on Amazon – I’ll probably keep using them until they all burn out.
The lanterns and Have Yourself sign were from previous years Target dollar spots, the black/white checked bucket was from Michael’s this year. The jingle bell wreath was years ago from TJ Maxx. Greenery is just random from who knows where. The black and cream ribbon was actually webbing in the fabric department at Hobby Lobby.
The pine pillow was from a local store and the throws were $13.99 at Target in November so I grabbed them. They are so pretty for display but they are lightweight and snag easily so for practicality I probably wouldn’t recommend them. But black and cream stripe with tassels gets me every time. ♥
H&M Home is still my go-to for inexpensive pillow covers. These green ones were $5.99
I’ve had the It’s a Wonderful Life since we lived in Idaho – forever! The lanterns seem to appear in every single porch whether it’s summer or winter. Inside are the awesome Costco battery operated lights I share on my Insta stories in September. They just automatically come on at 5 every night and shut off at 11. The topiaries are from a local shop called Tai Pan – I’ve had them for years too. I found the olive buckets in the 80% off summer clearance at Michael’s when I was getting Christmas stuff there! A green locker basket with fairly lights and pinecones (from a local park!) is below.
I shared these jute baskets in my favorite things this year – they work anywhere! Trees are from Michael’s, the little green truck was actually part of the fall dollar spot stuff and was marked way down. The Joy sign was a dollar spot I think from last year, the wood stars were left over from my wreath, and that is a black and cream scarf I just folded up.
I am going to enjoy this winter wonderland from INSIDE now! ♥ Thanks for coming over.
AND a few deals from today that I wanted to make sure you saw:
- I shared the crazy good deal Wal-mart has on their Better Homes & Gardens 7 piece frame set on my Instastories. Here is the direct link at Wal-mart to buy online or you can check your store – I’ve have reports of people finding them for $3 (Idaho), $5 (Kentucky) and some were still stuck in-store at $20. So great for gallery walls, ancestor walls, or use individually as gifts or used around the house!
- lowest price for a Willow Tree nativity at $44.99 today only.
