Here is just a sprinkling of the wonderful projects from the Under $10 Under 1 Hour Party:
Kami @ No Biggie’s silhouettes! I can’t begin to say how much I adore these…and she gives you the free downloads!
It’s here! Just a few reminders:
*if you’re going to join, please visit and comment on at least 3 other links. That is the best part of these parties: meeting others and seeing their projects! I can't wait to visit every one...
*please only link up to your projects that are Under $10 and Under 1 Hour. No commercial sites, shops, etsy stores, etc. or it will be deleted.

I can’t wait to see what you’ve got! Thanks for joining the party~ my U10U1 project from yesterday is here.
You know I’m all about quick, easy, cheap craft gratification. This one was inspired by some plaques I got from a huge Hallmark clearance last year.
Let’s go~time’s a tickin!
1. Take a 7”X9”wooden plaque ($2-$3) from Michaels and spray paint it black (or use craft paint)
Welcome to our fall front porch!

Uhhh..I was going to talk about the gallery wall process, but I forgot it was early out for school today. We’ll get to it, I promise. For now, how about some fabulous freebies I spotted?
$2 in free mp3 music at Amazon MP3! using code FALLMP3S
*go to Amazon MP3, choose the song you want to purchase, look up in the green box in the upper right hand corner, and right by the blue $ sign, it will say “redeem a gift card or promotion code”, click on that and then enter code FALLMP3S. Then, go choose another one :)
Free 8X10 photo collage at Walgreens.com using COLLAGE at checkout. Good until the 30th. looks like it is now expired..sorry!
Free $2 on your CVS Extracare Card ($2 to use on anything at CVS) click on the bottom where it says “pledge not to be a money trasher” For the first 500,000 people…
Happy Bargaining :)
An elderly couple walked into the lobby of the Mayo Clinic for a checkup and spotted a piano. They've been married for 62 years and he'll be 90 this year.
I took the famous gold letters from Hob Lob (I got it for $5 while I was visiting in Utah last spring and it broke in my suitcase…see the crack at the top?), sprayed it with some kelly green spray paint, and then sanded it down to show some of the gold. I’m trying to incorporate some little splashes of color as you could see with the chairs and the doorknob since I’m using mostly color pictures for the gallery wall….
This was our first apartment in Logan, Utah. 379 East 200 North. We were on the bottom right, $275 a month utilities included. Such good memories there…
This was the kitchen. I asked the owner if I could paint the cabinets and he said sure, so I bought a gallon of FLAT white paint off the shelf at Kmart, got a cheap brush, and just went to town and painted right over those bin pulls! Ahhhhh! I had no idea what crimes I was committing…
I don’t know if any of you noticed, but 320 Sycamore has a new blog address! It used to be www.granvillehouse.blogspot.com and now it’s 320sycamoreblog.com Wahoo!
You will still see the blog the same way, nothing will change for subscribers, blogger is still my host, but my blog address was the most confusing thing about my blog.
When I began (3 years ago!) I thought just my family would read my blog and they all know what the Granville House is (from It’s a Wonderful Life), so it made perfect sense to call it that since 320sycamore wasn’t available. It just got confusing though when I would say my blog was 320 sycamore, but the address is granvillehouse blah blah blah….
does anyone remember my original header?? :)
Anyway, it should be a good thing. I wish I could have gotten just 320sycamore.com but 320sycamoreblog.com was the next best thing.
Advice to anyone starting a blog! Before you announce it, tell your BFF about it, launch it, ANYTHING, go buy the .com for the name of your blog. (you can look at places like godaddy.com) Because if you are the least bit successful, the value of your blog domain name will go up a lot and you will be kicking yourself that you didn’t buy it back then for $20.
I worked with the wonderful Emily @ Designer Blogs to make the switch and tweak a few things (like my navigation bar!) We’re working on getting the search button over there on the sidebar back up to speed, and I’m trying to make some more improvements, but it’s a good start. It’s my blog’s birthday in October and I want to talk more about my blogging journey, and hopefully a few things I’ve learned along the way (is there anything specifically you would want to know about this?), we’ve got an entryway and kitchen to finish up, and we’ll talk paper like I promised.
AND
it is time for our annual Under $10 Under 1 Hour Project Party!
Put it on your calendar….it’s always a good time.
Can’t wait!
Exactly one year ago I put a call out for any spare license plates…so it’s about time this wall is finished!
You know I’m working on the front entryway (I guess proper folk call it the foyer), and I saw an idea on Pinterest that I had to run with.
I spotted this picture on a square wooden board at the Goodwill and thought it would be a perfect candidate for $1.95.
Have you met Adrianne and Jeremy from Dream Book Design?
They have some amazing projects over at their place like this card catalog turned buffet:
